I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing The Exceptions at a wedding in the Main Line area, and they were nothing short of spectacular! This 10-piece band brought an electrifying energy that transformed the reception into an unforgettable celebration. From the moment they started, the dance floor was packed, and they kept it that way all night with a dynamic mix of songs spanning decades. It was everything from 60s classics to today’s pop hits, perfectly tailored to keep every guest, young and old, moving.

The horn section was a highlight, with the sax and trumpet players weaving through the crowd, playing with such charisma that it felt like they were performing just for you. Their vocalists were phenomenal, with every member contributing to tight harmonies that gave each song a fresh, vibrant feel. The band’s interaction with the crowd was so engaging—they didn’t just perform, they created a party atmosphere that had everyone smiling and dancing. The sound quality was flawless, and they even seamlessly incorporated a DJ during breaks to keep the energy high.

I am so happy we chose the exceptions for our wedding. We had bill as our DJ/ MC. The exceptions and Bill were amazing. They made the night! When you are at a wedding, the band can make or break the night. The exceptions/ Bill MADE the night. They are so lively! The sax and trumpet players come out into the the audience and get the crowd going. I have been to many wedding, when they have an an awesome band, but when the band takes a break, the wedding is like boring. That was NOT the case. Bill made sure to keep the party going. The other thing, I asked Bill or the exceptions for a song and they played it immediately which was nice as the bride! I am so happy we chose the exceptions and bill for our day! The other thing was the sound was perfect! The band comes with sound personnel which is also such a win! If you want a lovely, lively, and fun band, look no further!

The Exceptions are IT. Our guests had the time of their lives at our wedding thanks to this lively, talented, passionate band. The Exceptions are a 10-piece band that will play anything from 60s classics to modern pop... and country! If you want your guests to walk away from your wedding saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to then you need to book The Exceptions immediately! There is nothing like a live band at the wedding and let's face it what makes a good wedding: the venue & the entertainment. The moment I saw/heard The Exceptions at Harrah's in Atlantic City, I knew I had to have them at our wedding. They literally get everyone on the dance floor from 80 years old to teenagers and every age in between. I knew that they would make our wedding everything we had hoped for. I wanted the dance floor to be full the entire time and it truly was. Everyone told my husband & I that the band MADE the wedding & asked where in the world did I find the band. I tell everyone that it was meant to be that I found them because the minute I saw them, I knew they would play our wedding. Phil, who is the manager as well as a talented musician/singer in the band, was so great to deal with. We e-mailed back & forth & he always got back to me right away. I gave the band a list of songs that we loved & a list of songs that we didn't want played (which was very few since the band's playlist is incredible). They stuck to that list all night & even threw in songs that they knew were special to us (like Bruce Springsteen). The night couldn't of been more perfect & everyone said it was the best wedding they have ever been to because of the band. If you want everyone up on their feet begging for more, hire The Exceptions for your wedding!

I've been to a bunch of weddings and I've never seen or heard a better crew. Our guests almost didn't even finish their dinner or wedding cake because they were out on the dance floor the whole time. Our guests are still talking about the band. That's the kind of group you want to play at your wedding!

I love this band! The horn section really makes the sound awesome. The singers are versatile. The can cover anything from the 50’s to today’s music. They will definitely have people on the dance floor from the beginning until the end. We got so many compliments from our guests about the band and what a great time they had.
