I should have listened to the dozens of people who told me NOT to have my wedding at The Event Center, including my caterer who had another wedding booked there. Yes, the facility is beautiful. However, my experiences before and after my wedding make me regret my decision to have my wedding there. Before the wedding, the staff was very rigid. I wanted to bring in an experienced, insured caterer that I'd met at a bridal expo in Concord. The staff gave me a hard time about that. My caterer had to do a private tasting for them. After that, they loved her, but wanted to handle the contract we had together. We would not relent, so they threatened to charge me a surcharge. Then, worst of all, they messed up the video recording of my precious day. The video has no sound. I will never hear the vows my husband and I spoke from our hearts or they heartfelt toasts from our wedding party, family, and friends. They offered to refund me only the part of the contract that covered audio/video services, but the direct was very nasty about it. They tried to repair the video, admitted that the repair was poor quality, but refused to compensate me further or repair the video again. The director said, "I'm done with it." Yet, I still do not have a refund. It's been five months. How can you just dismiss someone when you ruined the memories of her wedding day? Whatever you do, please do NOT have your wedding here.
