About
Sisters Vyann and Josianne Eteme were brought up in the classical and jazz music tradition. Born and raised in Baltimore, the Eteme sisters have always been surrounded by music. They began playing their respective instruments, (Vyann-piano and Josianne-violin) at the ages of four and received training from Russian technicians, members of major symphony orchestras, and attended Interlochen Academy for the Arts. Their mother, world-renowned soprano, Janice Chandler-Eteme, instilled within them a dedication to the arts that centered community, an unceasing commitment to service, and a desire to increase the accessibility of classical music.
The Eteme Sisters are regularly part of musical programs for weddings, funerals, church services, and music festivals. They continue to concertize and perform whilst pursuing bachelor's degrees in music from Yale University and Gettysburg College, respectively. They specialize in classical, romantic, modern, and gospel styles and have worked across the DMV, New England, and Southeast.
