The pictures online don't do it justice -the venue, inside and out, is absolutely beautiful!! From planning to execution, the exprience was smooth...John and his team pulled out all the stops, and made sure every need was attended to. We had our rehearsal, followed by the rehearsal dinner -which was amzing! The wedding ceremony was held in the courtyard, and it was georgeous. The reception was amazing...the food and service was spot on...special shout out to the Staff who were "on" the whole night, taking spcial care of the guests and especially the wedding party. The Inn itself is cozy and well kept with a lot of character, and we had no complaints at all. The grounds were meticuously maintained and spacious - allowing the guests to move inside and outside of the reception tent.

Besides the house being absolutely beautiful, inside and out - the staff here made the wedding planning process a lot less stressful. I was planning from a distance and could only make a trip up to Cortland 2-3 times over the entire year of planning. Shaunna and LuAnn were always in constant communication with me, and even my other vendors. I cannot thank Shaunna, LuAnn and their team enough for all their hard work and dedication to make sure we had the most perfect day possible!!

I cannot say enough about our experience at the Trees. The space is absolutely gorgeous. Somehow, while being elegant and historic, it manages to be homey and approachable. The natural atmosphere outside led to remarkable pictures and a beautiful relaxed meal and dancing outside. The kids still remember and talk about building a fairy garden next to an old tree. Leslie helped with everything from bouquet making to filling the flower girls baskets, to helping us find a person to support the ceremony which was at the Falls. She baked our cake and perfectly understood what we were looking for. More than the proprietor of a venue, Leslie is a multi-talented gateway to everyone worth knowing for a wedding in Ithaca, which made life so much easier. We stayed on site and we felt welcome and cared for in so many ways. If you’re considering a wedding here, and you’re looking for comfortable elegance and gorgeous nature, you have found the place.

Comfort Island was a dream setting for our August wedding. Stephen and his team worked closely with us and our planners to bring our vision to life. The property has so many beautiful, distinct spaces that every part of the day felt like its own little vignette. We got ready in the historic bedrooms, did our first look on a bluff overlooking the river, and before getting dressed, our wedding party even snuck in swims at the beach, which set such a joyful, easygoing tone for the day. Our ceremony on the side lawn was breezy and cool on a hot summer afternoon, followed by an open-air dinner on the wraparound porch perched above the river. Later, we moved down to the lower lawn and gazebo for dessert and dancing, and ended the night with a tour boat pulling into the docks to whisk everyone away on a catered afterparty cruise down to Clayton. There is truly nothing else like this location in the 1000 Islands. Comfort Island gave us a wedding day that felt deeply personal, timeless, and completely “us,” and we are so grateful to Stephen for opening his incredible home and creating a place where memories like this are possible.

Joelle was a very responsive and detail oriented coordinator. The staff at this venue have been there for many years and know how to throw an event! The space is gorgeous and allows for lighter decor. There are so many picturesque spots on the grounds for photos. The food was amazing and all of the guests raved about the passed hour devours and plated dinner. The in-house DJ kept the day running smoothly and there was no awkward downtime. Our wedding day went perfectly at The Lodge and we can’t recommend this venue enough!

The Brewster Inn in Cazenovia, NY was a truly special place for us to have our wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous right on the lake and the Inn makes just as beautiful a back drop as the water. Barb, the wedding coordinator, was by far the most professional and accommodating person I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was just as we wanted it. People were raving about the food. It was delicious and fresh and all made to order (we did a stations menu but they also have a sit down option.) The staff was also very friendly and attentive but never intrusive. I would highly recommend having an event there. People are still talking about our wedding and we have so many wonderful memories of that day.

Dennis was great to work with and provided a beautiful space for our wedding. He worked with us on changing the date due to my stepfather’s deployment being extended during Covid. The food is always delicious there and his staff is always friendly and on point.

Spillian is a lovely venue, but what really sold us were the people. The owners, Mark and Leigh, are retired theater people and they are there to put on a show. And you are the director! They really encourage you to make it your day, and it's a truly customizable experience. There is no fixed menu, or seating arrangement, or timeline. They work with you throughout the planning process to make everything your own. Mark and Leigh were incredible every step, not only were they able to comfortably answer all of our questions but everything went smoothly on the day. And Chris in the kitchen is something else, hands down one of the best chefs I have had the pleasure of chatting with, and if he offered, I'd be at his table every night for dinner. Another saving grace is that the venue itself doubles as an airbnb for you and your loved ones. You rent the house for the weekend, and it has 8 bedrooms to divide amongst your bridal party. It really helped me to let loose on my day knowing that my bed was right upstairs and that the Spillian staff would handle the cleanup. They also hosted our rehearsal dinner and morning after brunch, and it lessened the load to not have to plan two separate events with different vendors. Now let’s talk about the day itself! I didn’t have to lift a finger. My husband and I brought along decorations and signage, and expected to have to do some organizing ourselves. But the Spillian staff were there Friday night when we were unpacking asking what everything was and where we wanted it, and it was packed back up for us by Sunday morning. On Saturday, they went to work putting everything together for us. It was beautifully orchestrated by Spillian’s coordinator, Sam. We can’t thank her enough for making sure that our rainy day wedding went so smoothly, we barely even noticed that we had to shift our plans within 30 minutes! Originally, the whole affair was meant to be hosted outside, but persistent rain (it is the Catskills after all) had us moving the reception indoors. They had the whole event setup outside and moved it all inside in record time. By the time photos were done everything was set for dinner. They even offer a late night bonfire if that’s your thing, and thankfully we were still able to light it in the rain. Overall 35/10 Have your wedding here, stop questioning it.

I loved tuscarora and so did my whole family! The views are beautiful! My husband and I are already talking about renting it just for a family vacation.
