The Court Above Main is a venue that brings a city-like vibe with a historic touch to weddings in La Crosse, Wisconsin. They are happy to host your reception, rehearsal dinner, private party, anniversary, birthday, board meeting, or corporate conference. The Court Above Main was first established over a century ago and was used as a social gathering space. Later on, the building was converted to a gym for the YWCA until it was redesigned into the event space that it is today. The beautiful structure is home to sixteen-foot ceilings and a ballroom court floor that still boasts its original hardwood. Inside, there are floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a private bridal suite that can serve as a great spot to get ready before the big event.

Facilities and Capacity

The historic ballroom at The Court Above Main has a seated capacity of up to 180 for a plated dinner reception, 150 for a buffet dinner reception, 210 for a ceremony, and 250 for dance. The Court Above Main allows for you to use any of their approved caterers and is also wheelchair accessible. In order to make it easy for your guests, parking is less than a block away from the premises.

The Court Above Main is pleased to offer a variety of services for you to make the most of your wedding day. There is an in-house sound system and bar staff and event assistants are hired to help ensure a smoothly flowing event. In order to make sure that everything is going to plan, an event manager is also on duty to watch over the staff and oversee the entirety of the occasion.
