Cherry Blossom Salon made my getting-ready process the stuff of a feel-good chick flick.
Rebecca, my head stylist, perfected my vision during our trial a couple of weeks before, and AS IF it were possible, make it even more gorgeous for the day of. I had 6 bridesmaids, so 4 other stylists came with, and gave each of my girls the hairstyles of their dreams-- up dos, down with loose curls, half/up, half/down, you name it-- my girls all looked like more polished versions of themselves. We listened to music, swapped funny stories and had a blast.
Not to mention the pricing was spot-on.
Furthermore, Rebecca did my highlights before our trial and I have never been so happy with my color-- and she painted them so close to the root!!! Won't need a fill-in for months.
So excited I have a new favorite spot for haircuts, color and styling. Couldn't be more happy with this fabulous salon!

DO NOT BOOK BRIDAL PARTY MAKEUP AT CHERRY BLOSSOM SALON! Horrific....I was taken to a room away from my sisters, the bride and matron of honor, and I told the "makeup artist" that I usually do more dramatic eye makeup than my sisters, but I just needed "bridal appropriate makeup", which she translated as making me the butt of a joke. After everyone else had hair and makeup done, I thought my panic attacks had manifested into hallucinations, while salon workers acted like everything was fine. I had hot pink drag queen clown makeup with giant squared off cholo eyebrows and eyelashes hanging off unglued. It was like someone paid to punk me; everything was beyond humiliating and inappropriate to even attend a wedding, let alone be one of the two bridesmaids. I couldn't even look in the mirror getting my hair rushed to get done, while waiting for someone to redo my makeup. The second makeup artist didn't even have MAC makeup and after a rush redo, I was still having to ask for things like combing out clumps of glue and mascara out of my lashes and left the salon with shiny caked on bare minerals makeup and eyeliner that winged up on one eye and out on the other. I'm already the black sheep of my family and I never have money to treat myself to salons, but my makeup kit that was left at the hotel had nicer products in it than the second girl used on me. The hours getting ready for the wedding were humiliating torture everytime I looked in the mirror, trying to smudge makeup into something resembling symmetry and trying not to cry. I felt bad for my sisters, because the last thing they wanted for me was to feel more self-conscious and even less trusting of people trying to reassure me. Getting hair and makeup done was supposed to be a glamorous treat, to smooth out wedding stress, but it was basically an experience of my worst fears visualized and just fuelled my anxiety for the day. Anyone feeling self-conscious should not go to cherry blossom salon, unless spending almost an hour on drew Carey show Mimi clown makeup on the most special day of your year is helpful to your healing. Or bring your most demanding friend with you to stand up for you when they see what they are doing to you, because everyone at the salon that day just avoided eye contact and tried to act like I was making them late with silliness. So awkward and embarrassing. Thank you for at least not doing what you did to me on my sisters. If you got paid to punk me, you really should ask for double your payment, because you truly outdid yourselves.
