The Chāteau Event Center is a remarkable mansion venue located in Bozeman, Montana that hosts weddings and other landmark occasions in elegant style. Managers Keanan Ritchey and Whitney Ritchey invite couples to hold their nuptial celebrations at this exquisite wedding and event center. We have available Saturdays for the 2021 Season still! This is a spectacular venue in which to bring your dream festivities into life.

Facilities and Capacity

This 45-acre estate is located in a river bottom adjacent to the scenic Hyalite Creek, brightened by blossoming flower gardens, majestic cottonwood trees, and wildlife. The ceremony area includes an aisle of living trees to the picturesque Gazebo. A quaint stone bridge and waterfall feature make for a wonderful walk to a small pond. Classic French architecture informs the construction and furnishings of The Chāteau Event Center. This influence is evident in features such as thick stone and stucco walls, sturdy beamed ceilings, elegant sconces, and iron chandeliers. The interior features 2,500 square feet of event space, suitable for up to 160 guests. Furthermore, the outdoor spaces offer ample room for parties of more than 160 guests. An exquisitely-appointed Bridal Suite and rustic Groom’s Hideout offer spaces to prepare and relax on your big day. French doors open to both covered and uncovered patios by the gardens. These feature a fountain for mingling and photo opportunities along with ample patio lighting for a late-night dancing session. This locale offers convenience for guests with wheelchair-accessible features and on-site parking. The peak season for this venue stretches from May through October.

Beautiful Venue!

My daughter checked into various venues in the Bozeman area and after visiting The Chateau Event Center immediately knew this was where she wanted to have her wedding and reception. It is a breathtakingly beautiful property. The owners Whitney and Keanan are on top of every detail. Whitney was our primary contact and provided so much information, recommendations and tips along the way that were invaluable. She responded quickly and thoroughly to all of our inquiries. It is clear she cares about each event and client and is beyond fair and generous in her approach. On the day of the wedding ceremony & reception, as well as the rehearsal the day prior and gathering our items the day after, she was available to clarify anything needed and to help along the way. The Chateau Event Center is an excellent venue and Whitney was instrumental ensuring a very special wedding day.

The best choice in venue is the Chateau Event Center!!!

I highly recommend the Chateau Event Center for your wedding or event needs. Not only is it a stunning location (year round) but it's also super versatile! We had a lot of options if the weather changed. The property owner Whitney is incredibly helpful and so easy to work with. Our wedding photos turned out gorgeous with the beautiful property in the back-round. The best choice we made for our wedding was selecting the Chateau as our venue!! 100% recommend!!!

Beautiful Inside and Out

I made the right decision by selecting the Chateau Event Center as my wedding reception vendor. It was the perfect size venue for my guest list. The bridal suite was such a neat spot to get ready with my bridal party. It was nice there was a separate place for the groom and his groomsmen to get ready. Whitney was awesome to work with - patient, kind, and organized. She helped me visualize the space based on my needs and provided referrals to local vendors. My wedding day was beautiful, and I sincerely appreciate the Chateau Event Center for helping me.

The PERFECT Bozeman venue

If you are looking for a sign to book a fall and/or brunch wedding at The Chateau-- this is it!
We were a couple on a budget, and The Chateau provided very affordable weekday rates. We chose to host a Brunch wedding on a Monday, and I can't tell you how many of our guests (and of course ourselves) thought it was such a fun and unique idea. The venue is stunning, and has all of the amenities that you would hope for-- from bride and groom suites for getting ready, separate catering room for vendors, chair & table set up and break down included, the list goes on. Whitney worked with us every step of the way and was so kind and accommodating. Anytime we had a question a very prompt and thorough reply would follow.
We could not have gotten any luckier with early October weather. The leaves were changing, the sun was out and the temperature was right around 70 degrees. BUT- given Montana weather can be unpredictable, we loved the safety net of being able to host all festivities inside and still exchange vows in a beautiful setting.
I could not recommend Whitney & The Chateau enough!

Our June 18th 2022 Wedding

The Chateau was the most stunning venue we could have chosen for our wedding. Both the indoor and outdoor accommodations and gathering spaces were perfect for our guests to be able to mix and mingle. Not the mention our photos are STUNNING!! Whitney and the crew at the Chateau helped our day run seamlessly and were so kind! Can’t recommend The Chateau enough!

So many compliments

So many compliments from our guests. Just a perfect day and great responsiveness from Whitney the owner. Her family and employees ensured the venue was in great condition the day of, helping with setup of tables/chairs and made the day smooth for us. Would highly recommend, it was a dream! Has many great rental options to bring your vision to life.

Best day ever!

Honest truth- If you are looking for perfect, it’s the Château! My husband and I got married here on 9/24/22, and it was MAGICAL!
It wasn’t only our surroundings that were amazing, it was Whitney, her husband and adorable kiddos, and her new staff member Terri! They all made us feel so taken care of, and made sure that our day went smoothly! Again, if you are looking for a perfect venue, and people who care about you and your day, we absolutely recommend the Château.

The Best Place To Say "I Do"

This wedding venue is so beautiful with such a lush yard. What really makes this place magical though is the staff. The staff is so friendly, so communicative, easy to work with, and comes with a wealth of knowledge that helped me plan a wedding of my dreams. On my wedding day it was pouring rain (extra luck, right?) and the staff did everything in their power to create a beautiful and intimate indoor ceremony when it was supposed to be outside. They set up tables, chairs, and take out the trash. The Chateau was the perfect place to say "I Do" and I would recommend them any day!

4/2/22 Wedding

The Chateau Event Center was the perfect place for our Montana wedding! We really were set on getting married in April which can be a hard time for MT weather. Whitney was super helpful in all the planning and very responsive whenever we had questions. It ended up raining and hailing on our wedding day so we did everything inside and it turned out gorgeous. The chateau is amazing because it’s already beautiful on its own so you don’t have to go out of your way to make it prettier, like you would with some other venues in Bozeman. We wish we could relieve the day over and over again. You can’t go wrong with choosing The Chateau as your wedding venue!
