5-Star Cedar Room Wedding

I had a wonderful experience working with The Cedar Room when planning my wedding. From our initial tour with Jessie, who was so enthusiastic and up for anything, to our final tasting menu touches with Samantha, who was endlessly patient and accommodating, I can't say enough kind things about this venue! They truly were the most flexible and easygoing team, yet so organized, gracious, and on top of everything. They took food allergy concerns seriously, going out of their way to speak with guests over the phone and plan a safe menu for them. And the food itself? Amazing! (The desserts especially!) As for the venue itself, The Cedar Room was perfect for our big day. We fit two bars, a band, a dance floor, and 160 guests for a seated plated dinner and it never felt crowded (or too big). Fairytale Event

We knew the Cedar Room would be the perfect space for our daughter's wedding reception from the moment we saw it. The space is amazing and provides so many options for set up and decor. From the first phone call to the day of, every person was kind and helpful. The food was outstanding. We often say we would like to have a do over just so we can eat all the delicious food! Every detail was taken care of and all the vendors worked seamlessly together. The timeline was perfect and worked exactly as planned. We highly recommend this venue to everyone!

The Most Stunning Venue

The team at the Cedar Room are truly the best of the best. From beginning our planning process in August of 2020 to our wedding in February of 2022 Kara, Renee and Jessie went above and beyond for us to make sure every detail was perfect!

The venue is the perfect Charleston location being a few blocks away from King Street and the backdrop of the Ravenel Bridge is picturesque! The Cedar Room is a stunning space and we used both inside and the courtyard for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

The catering team is INSANE! We love all of Indigo Roads restaurants so we knew that the food would be amazing but from our tasting the food was truly incredible. On our wedding the guests were raving about how much they enjoyed it and the service was truly incredible.

Beautiful Atmosphere and Delicious Food

The Cedar Room is the perfect Charleston wedding venue. There was so much room to have tables, food stations, photo booth, lounge areas, and a beautiful cake table! The outside patio was the perfect place for our sparkler send off. Then the food from Mercantile and Mash is DELICIOUS!! Our guests still talked about how that was the best food they've had at a wedding weeks later. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married in Charleston!

Gorgeous Venue, Incredible Food

We had our wedding and reception here in January and I would do it over and over again if I could!! The venue is just absolutely stunning. Our photographs turned out great -- the exposed brick and the red door are just stunning. I still have friends and family talking about how good the food is!!! My dad swears the beef tenderloin was better than any steakhouse he has ever been to. One of my favorite parts of wedding planning was the tasting. You won't be disappointed with ANY of the food choices. I also loved how the pastry chef made my cake vision look even better than the picture I sent them. Staff was easy and communicative and Renee regularly kept us in the loop! Also, if you are having a wedding during the challenging times of COVID, this space was wonderful because we had a ton of room to spread out and feel safe. I can't recommend this venue enough!!! Have your wedding here!

Best Venue & Wedding Planner Combo

The Cedar Room is the most amazing venue! As a bride obsessed with interior design, I enjoyed the opportunity to design my wedding entirely. But thanks to The Cedar Room (shout out to Renee!) and their close coordination with my wedding planner Bouquets and Bowties Charleston, my wedding was PERFECT! Renee was super responsive, and there for me all the day. The food was absolutely fantastic as well! They could even accommodate my funfetti wedding cake request! So grateful to all of my vendors who made being a bride in 2020 finally be stress free on my wedding day!

Everything We Could Ask For....

Amazing venue!! Awesome food!! Even better staff!!

Absolutely recommend getting the Whiskey Bar and the Cigar Bar addition. Our Wedding Planner Blythe Hill worked wonderfully with Graham and Renee of the Cedar Room and nailed every aspect of the wedding. Also recommend the swinging chair addition as a great focal point for pictures at the reception. Our guests loved every minute of the celebration.

Absolutely Amazing, Wouldn't Change a Thing!

My husband and I got married at the Cedar Room last weekend and it was amazing! The food is outstanding, the venue is beautiful, and everyone we worked with was so nice and accommodating. Massive space with plenty room for all our guests and band. The bathrooms are also so nice! Wouldn't have thought about that, but we've been to weddings with some bad bathroom situations and it really puts a damper on things. Wouldn't change a thing about it and highly recommend!

Best Wedding Ever

100% recommend the Cedar Room for your future event!!

We had our cocktail hour, reception, and after party there last weekend and loved e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g about our experience. We planned our wedding in 6 months in Charleston, which seemed intimidating at first. People told us it couldn't be done. Graham and Renee instilled confidence in us that we could plan our dream wedding in such a short time frame and they were right! Graham helped us set the contract and Renee helped us select our food / beverage selections and then was there the day of the event. Thank you ladies, you rock!!!

The Cedar Room stands out from other venues in many ways:
- Sheer beauty, reclaimed design features, and the history of the cigar factory. We love a space that tells a story.
- Large indoor space perfect for the winter wedding. Every other venue downtown requires a tent if you are having 100+ guests.
- Outdoor patio was an ideal spot for cocktail hour and for guests to take a breather during the party.
- Rooftop access with the view of Ravenel Bridge create the dreamiest wedding photos you can imagine.
- THE FOOD. Omg the food. This is what guests have talked about to us the most. We went with 3 stations - shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, and southern bbq. Seriously the best food I have had in 6 years living in Charleston.
- The drinks. We had 2 signature cocktails - Moscow Mule and Old Fashioned that were individually handmade and the guests raved about how fresh they tasted.
- We had our after party at Bar Marsh, just downstairs from the Cedar Room so no one had to change locations. They have fun games like shuffle board and everyone had a fun time.

Unbelievable venue

Having our wedding at the Cedar Room made it unforgettable. With the exposed brick and large windows, it was the exact look we were looking for. Design was much easier because we loved the aesthetic of the venue so much. The food was absolutely delicious, and the people were wonderful to work with (we ended up getting two things that weren't even on the initial menu). They turned our wedding cake vision into a delicious reality. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else!
