We loved working with the Caterist for our wedding. We wanted to have our food reflect our family cultures - Polish, Irish and Scandinavian, and the Caterist really created a fun, unique menu for us. We had a vegan meal, and at the tasting we had two options - it was really hard to pick one, because they were both so good! At the wedding, my fellow vegans agreed it was the best vegan dish they had ever had at a wedding, and guests raved about the short ribs - all the food was excellent, as well as the service.They created a perfect signature drink for us for our last winter wedding. One of our favorite parts of the wedding was having dinner together and just watching all our guests enjoy the meal.

My husband and I chose The Caterist as the caterer for our wedding reception and we couldn't be more pleased. From the very beginning with our tasting, Erin from their team was incredibly responsive to our questions and concerns and so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, the servers and bartenders were all friendly and helpful. Now the important part: the food was amazing. So many guests at our wedding came up to us raving about the food. Entrees were well seasoned and the portions were generous, and the desserts on our dessert table were also very tasty, with a lot of variety. Overall, would definitely recommend working with the Caterist for your wedding!

We recently worked with The Caterist at our wedding and we had a very good experience! Being a winter wedding we were looking for food options for a cozy, holiday experience. We were very impressed by their food selection and even more impressed by the quality of the food during our tasting. They had everything we needed as well for tableware with multiple styles to choose from. During our planning process, they were very knowledgeable, communicative, and prompt, even helping us with things we didn't know about. The day of, their service was impeccable and they received praise from just about everyone who attending. I would highly recommend The Caterist!

The Caterist was highly recommended to us. We were not disappointed. The planning before the event was easy. We knew were were dealing with professionals like Erin who listened to us and made good suggestions. We celebrated in a tent in our backyard with a buffet, open bar and a gelato bar. The service was impeccable and delivered with a smile by all. Chef Caruso is a master at timing so that all the food arrived at exactly the right time. Most importantly, it was truly delicious with universal praise from our guests. It was a pleasure for everyone to put their cares away for a few hours and laugh in a great environment. Details such as the set-up and clean-up were seamless as overseen by Annabell. One of our guests is planning a party and will be giving the Caterist a call!

When looking for catering for our backyard wedding, we wanted something fun and delicious yet approachable for a varied crowd. We reached out to The Caterist, and were blown away from the first interaction with Cristina. She was so kind, and Ana was absolutely incredible to work with. She answered our many questions, suggested various options, held a wonderful tasting for two of our dear friends (we don't live in state) and designed a beautiful table setting for the day. And, of course, the food was delicious. Our guests raved about the menu and gelato bar!

I am SO glad to have found The Caterist when I did. As a Food Specialist at my YMCA I am in charge of ordering meals for our staff trainings and I wanted something different than your average staff meals. The meals we received were delicious!! I was blessed with working with Cristina, she was such a pleasure!! They were able to work with our budget and dietary restrictions! PLUS we had two locations for delivery and their delivery crew were so great, handled everything with such care straight out of the hotboxes!!

From the moment we did our tasting with Ana, we knew we had the right caterer. They did an incredible job every step of the way with their communication, helping us make sure we didn't miss anything, and made us feel comfortable that everything was under control. We knew the food was amazing and all our guests told us the same. The staff the day of was incredible as well. Ana and Paige did an amazing job and we'd highly recommend them to anyone considering their services.

My husband and I decided on the Caterist in February, 2020 for an August 2020 wedding.

Due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule our wedding twice (for an October 2021 date) but the team at the Caterist were amazing in assisting us with rescheduling our wedding celebration, helping us choose options that were "Covid Protocols Friendly" (no easy feat in this day and age), setting up a plan and asking all the right questions on things that we didn't even think about, and being as flexible as possible all while doing this completely virtual/over zoom. Not an easy feat at all but this team definitely handled it perfectly.

We didn't know how good the food was until the day of the party (we couldn't do a tasting) but we had nothing to fear - the choices we made (the red line of some of Chicagos more famous offerings and the taco bar - highly recommend both!) was outstanding and our guests said it was some of the best food they had had at a wedding celebration.

We had more than enough food for our 100 guests. It was a perfect combination of wedding chic meets backyard family reunion (which was the vibe we wanted after 18 months of a pandemic).

We had an issue that we didn't order enough booze/our guests drank more than we thought they would but the onsite team took care of it by heading out to a grocery store and getting more! Honestly - they were rockstars and their efforts allowed me and our guests to continue partying on.

The bartenders and servers were amazing. Our guests remarked about how fast and friendly the entire team was.

We didn't have one issue/complaint at all with this team, which I know is rare.

Highly recommend for weddings and parties in Chicago! We would definitely use again for any events.

They are truely the best. We choose the Caterist for our wedding and I could not have been more thrilled by the experience. Weeks after the fact, people are still raving about the food. Every bite was delicious! Not only that but their wait staff was very friendly and were extremely diligent the entire night. The real reason to go with the Caterist however is the planning. I mostly worked with Erin and she was consistently on top of her game. She remembered every detail from our food to our tablescape to the schedule for the day. I had a very specific look for our wedding and Erin not only listened to what I wanted but also contributed ideas to make it even better! And she was so quick to respond to emails!! We almost always received an email immediately or first thing on the next business day (they are also very transparent about when their office hours are so you do not think they are not responding.) They we're also very receptive to our ideas. They always found a way to say yes to our vision. We are so lucky to have found them. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. You have no reason to not go with them.

We primarily worked with Erin and she was so helpful from our first interaction. Our wedding was at Room 1520 in Chicago. Our tasting was a great experience and allowed us to get a complete review of options. The food was fantastic and exactly what we hoped for. Due to COVID we had to postpone, but Erin was flexible throughout this process. She was able to accommodate all of our requests and keep our group feeling safe. The food and service were all that we could have hoped for!
