Based in downtown Denver, Colorado, the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa is a luxurious historic wedding venue. Welcoming guests since 1892, this hotel has become a stalwart of Denver’s hospitality scene and brings regal surroundings and ambiance to any weddings held there. Designed by architect Frank E. Edbrooke in the Italian Renaissance style, it was also the second-ever fire-proof building in America. Opulence has been a part of this venue since its conception, and as such, any celebration held there is instantly more glamorous. As well as having a flair for the finer things, the business today is committed to sustainability and supports various local charitable causes.
Facilities and Capacity
Whether you are celebrating with 50 guests or 400, the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa has several spaces ready to host your celebration. The Grand Ballroom can hold between 150 and 320 guests and has hosted over 3,000 weddings and celebrations since its opening. The Brown Palace Club, once serving as campaign headquarters for Dwight D. Eisenhower, stretches over 3,000 square feet and can hold 50-75 guests. An intimate space, the Club has a cozier, more casual atmosphere well-suited to cocktail receptions. Central City, although a smaller space again, can hold larger celebrations than the Club. Weddings of between 80 and 140 guests are welcome to celebrate here. Finally, the Onyx Room is the smallest of this location’s wedding spaces. Covering 1,425 square feet, this room can hold up to 125 guests and was originally known as the hotel’s Grand Salon. It features a hand-painted mural on the ceiling for a unique artistic touch.
The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa offers an array of services to couples to facilitate in the coordinating of their wedding. The hotel’s wedding catering specialist is available to guide you through your choices when planning your reception, whether you want cocktails or a plated meal. Professional servers are then available to provide the highest level of hospitality at your reception. To aid with event design, the hotel’s florist can create custom designs to further enhance your celebration’s innate opulence. Wireless lapel microphones can be supplied for those all-important speeches and ceremonies so loved ones don’t have to miss a word.

The Brown palace is such an amazing and magical venue for weddings. We worked with Michelle Gillette who is hands down the best event planner in Denver. She made everything so easy. Almost everything is included with your package at the brown which makes a wedding their reasonable. Our photographer also missed most of my pics (not recommended by Michelle) and the Brown is letting us retake the photo's in the hotel without any problems whatsoever. Thanks for making my dream wedding come true. The venue is amazing, the flowers turned out wonderful and the food was delicious. What more could you ask for!Sent on 12/31/2013
