The Brooks at Weatherford

The Brooks at Weatherford is a Wedding Chapel and Event Venue outside Ft. Worth in Weatherford, Texas. Whether a small celebration or a large wedding, this venue is ideal for couples wanting a naturally elegant celebration in a unique and picturesque setting. The 21-acre farm estate has a Old World Chapel and a 7,000-square-foot Event Venue. Designed by award-winning architect/owner, Steve Heflin and opened in partnership with his wife, Tricia, the venue provides a gorgeous setting for celebrating your wedding day or special event. The couple aims to provide a beautiful setting and place for memorable celebrations, significant events, and great enjoyment.

Facilities and Capacity

The Old World Chapel provides a beautiful wedding ceremony setting with timber trusses, exquisite wrought iron chandeliers, and antique church pews. Inside the Chapel, 16-foot-high, wood-framed picture and stained-glass windows frame the neighboring countryside to create a dramatic ceremony backdrop. The Chapel's exterior is adorned with stained-glass windows and antique teakwood doors. The space comfortably seats up to 250 guests, more with outdoor seating.

For your reception, the Event Venue, complete with ornate cedarwood columns, pergola walkway and patio, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, firepit, and outdoor gathering areas, houses up to 300 guests. Antique Persian doors open to the indoor reception room with its stained concrete floors, walk around rock masonry fireplace, cedar trusses and columns, built-in rock columned and glazed pecan countertop bar, and beautifully unique architectural features. Stamped and stained concrete walkways weave beside ponds, flowing brooks, and gorgeous landscapes to join the Chapel and event venue. Both facilities have open-air or climate-enhanced options, allowing you to customize your wedding and Celebration further.

Services Offered

The Brooks at Weatherford offers beautifully appointed ceremony and reception facilities, banquet and utility tables, Chiavari guest chairs, a band stage, and a dance floor. It also has a beautiful built-in bar. Plenty of on-site parking is available at the Chapel and Reception site. The entire venue is wheelchair accessible. The couple's suites are available on-site, with plenty of space to dress and prepare on the wedding day.

History

Steve and Tricia moved to the Ft. Worth area to be closer to their children and grandchildren, which meant closing their San Antonio-based architect/build business. Their 35 years of marriage and design expertise sparked the idea of creating a unique, stylish wedding venue for couples and families to celebrate marriage, make memories, and simply enjoy! They found the lovely farm property outside Weatherford, Texas, which would become their dream place. In addition to gorgeous trees, natural springs, ponds, adjoining paths, a cascading brook, and a hill country landscape, the property includes a 120-year-old farmhouse and guest house. The team collected architectural elements from New Mexico and across the Texas Hill Country, incorporating them into the Chapel and reception venue design. The Heflin's dream of The Brooks at Weatherford became a reality as The Brooks opened in the Fall of 2014.
