I cannot get over how delicious our cake from bread basket was. It also looked EXACTLY like the picture I sent them. We had soamy compliments on the cake, it was definitely one of the highlights from the wedding. On top of that, they were also super helpful and accommodating with everything we needed. I can't wait to get a smaller cake from them next year for our anniversary!

Our wedding cake from the Bread Basket looked beautiful and was absolutely delicious! We chose two flavors, a carrot cake (which the bakery accommodated us by not including the nuts), and a yellow cake with raspberry filling. All of our guests were wowed at how delicious it was!

Hands down THE BEST wedding cakes around! We had been to a few places to taste cakes before finally finding the Bread Basket. The quality and service were amazing. The cake was outstanding and absolutely beautiful!!

We had heard great things about the bread basket bakery so when we were choosing our bakery it was who we decided to go with. We brought in a picture of the cake we wanted and tried the flavor. Our cake was exactly like the picture, and the cake itself was delicious!! We were also informed by them that we didnt have to save our top tier because on your year anniversary they make you a fresh cake for FREE!! This was a special bonus and we cant wait till our yr anniversary to enjoy our cake all over again!!

Wow! THE BEST WEDDING CAKE EVER! Or, at least, that's what our guests said - and how we felt! We were so grateful to have some cake to take home, I think we ate it all in one day! Leah made an incredible cake, tailored to our wishes and our wedding style, and it tasted amazing. The "tasting" beforehand was awesome - I think I'll get a wedding cake every year!

Our cake was beautiful, it tasted wonderful and arrived early to relieve the stress of waiting for it. The tasting and design process was laid back and the price was competitive for our area. It's a small bake shop and it was hard to get ahold of them at times since the cake decorator is hourly and her hours change daily but other than that everything was awesome!

We ordered our wedding cake from the Bread Basket in October 2013. All in all, I was happy with the service/product and would recommend them however there were some things that could be improved...

In terms of price/value... I felt the per person price of our wedding cake was reasonable. It wasn't the cheapest option, but Bread Basket is known for great quality baked goods and I love everything they make so it was worth it to me. Also, I had been advised by our caterer and others that wedding cake is often wasted, so we ordered cake for only half the total number of guests and let guests pick up a plate of cake or some mini desserts we also had only if they were interested in dessert. It worked perfectly for us and definitely helped save money. This may not be for everyone though, especially if you want to stay traditional and have cake served to every guest.

In terms of flexibility and the cake itself...
We chose to order two different cake/filling combinations for our 3-tier cake (all with the same frosting) because my husband and I didn't agree. The designated cake baker/contact person was very accommodating to that request. Multiple wedding guests said they loved the cake (particularly my option: chocolate frosting, raspberry preserve filling <- the same I've had for every birthday/graduation for over 15 yrs) and I guess taste matters most.

Lastly, in terms of responsiveness/professionalism...
This is the area where I docked points. On a few occasions we needed to follow up with our contact after we sent emails and she didn't respond for more than a week. She claimed she didn't receive some of our emails and attachments so we had to resend things (and then sometimes still follow up). Whether it was an issue with their email system or her not staying on top of communication it was a little annoying (especially when you're trying to juggle so many other vendors and decisions). Still, she was pleasant to work with and everything worked out in the end.
