We celebrated our wedding ceremony and reception with 125 guests at the Barn at Sunset Ranch in June 2024. Where to begin? The location - the mountain views were stunning, the property is perfect for a full day’s event and has all the amenities you could desire to design your day. Buena Vista is also a lovely, quaint town that our guests enjoyed exploring for several days. Everyone (the owners and venue manager) that we worked with were incredibly kind, accommodating, and communicative. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience planning the day, even from afar. We had the opportunity to host the dance on the patio, which was a total hit for our guests. We also loved the ability to customize our day by choosing each of our vendors. We can’t recommend the Barn enough. Thank you Sandy, Jim and Jayme for being such gracious hosts and for sharing this beautiful property with us and our loved ones.

We absolutely loved our experience with The Barn at Sunset Ranch! From the moment we met the owner, Jayme, we knew this place was special. She and her husband genuinely seem to be in this business because they love helping couples create an amazing wedding day, and that care shows in everything they do.

Leading up to our wedding, they were incredibly responsive anytime I had a question. Jayme was always helpful and thoughtful, and even gave us local recommendations for catering, lodging, and other vendors when we needed some extra guidance. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, and having a venue that was so easy to communicate with made such a difference.

The venue itself is beautiful, and you truly cannot beat the mountain views! The property is very well cared for, and you can tell they are constantly looking for ways to update and improve the space.

Having our ceremony and reception all in one location was absolutely worth it for us. It made the entire day flow so smoothly and saved us from having to coordinate additional transportation and logistics between locations.

We also rented the adorable apartment attached to the barn, which I would highly recommend! It gave us extra space for family throughout the day and was especially nice for the kids, who could hang out in the yard or inside. It was also a great quiet space for anyone who needed a little break from the reception.

Our day-of venue host was wonderful and incredibly responsive. At one point, we wanted the temperature adjusted in the bridal room, and all I had to do was send a quick text and it was taken care of immediately. Those little things make such a difference on your wedding day!

Another huge highlight was the outdoor space. We set up cornhole, ladder golf, and an axe-throwing game and created an area where guests could hang out, play games, and visit. The outdoor fireplaces at night were AMAZING for a summer wedding. Our guests could dance the night away inside or relax outside by the fire and enjoy the beautiful Colorado evening.

When you rent the venue, you also work with Mountain Sips for bartending, and they were fantastic as well! We had multiple guests tell us how great the bartenders were. They were fast, fun, welcoming, and genuinely eager to take care of everyone.

What stood out most to me is that the people behind The Barn at Sunset Ranch truly want you to have the best experience possible. You can feel that in their communication, their responsiveness, and all of the thoughtful little things they do along the way.

We had such a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend The Barn at Sunset Ranch to anyone looking for a beautiful Colorado wedding venue. The Barn at Sunset Ranch is the best venue in the high country!!! Owners Jayme & Jim were the most responsive and flexible with making our day so special! Everyone who worked the mountain sips bar, Megan and her team did such a fantastic job making my visions come to life.

The outdoor space is 100/10! So much space and different options for guests to hang out and enjoy cocktail hour by the fire, at the bar, or on the patio!

We got access to the space at 8:00 am and got right to work! The bridal suite was perfect for all of us to hang out and get ready. And the grooms room was nice with an addition of the attached property to provide even more space to set up and get ready!

And an even bigger bonus was our dog got to be such a special part of our day as well!

Our wedding at The Barn at Sunset Ranch this past June couldn’t have been more perfect. Buena Vista has always been a special place in our relationship, so we were hoping to find a venue somewhere around there. We toured The Barn on recommendation from our friends who had gotten married there several summers before, and then minute we got into our car after the tour, we both turned to each other and agreed that it was “The One.” From the stunning mountain views to the beautiful and well-equipped reception barn, this venue is truly a sight to see. It was (without exaggeration) EXACTLY what we were looking for.

What truly made our experience great, however, was the incredible team at The Barn. The owners, Jayme and Jim, are so responsive and fantastic to work with. They answered our (numerous) questions super quickly, and we felt taken care of every step of the way. The Barn is a fully customizable venue, meaning that you choose almost every vendor you use, and they provided so much assistance on that front. As soon as we booked, Jayme and Jim sent over a thorough, super helpful welcome packet that also included a list of local vendors and businesses they’ve worked with in the past. We found several of our vendors that way and could not have been happier with our selections! The one vendor they require you to use is their bartending service, Mountain Sips, and they were great as well. Megan and her team set up our dream bar, and kept the guests hydrated and happy all night long!

My wife and I were married at The Barn at Sunset Ranch, and we truly could not have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate one of the best days of our lives. We actually booked it sight unseen (and toured a few months later) based off a recommendation by a friend and reading online reviews! The mountain views are absolutely breathtaking and created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and photos. The venue itself is stunning, rustic, and thoughtfully designed.

What made the experience even more special was the incredible staff. From start to finish, they were kind, responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Their attention to detail helped everything run smoothly, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment.

The Barn will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so grateful for the memories we made there and would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple looking for a truly magical Colorado wedding venue.

The Barn at Sunset Ranch is incredible and we cannot say enough how much we loved getting married at this venue. When my now husband and I visited The Barn back in November of 2024 we immediately fell in love with the venue and booked for our October 18th, 2025 wedding. The location is absolutely beautiful inside and out and the space is so well designed. The biggest thing that drew us to this venue for our wedding was not only the gorgeous view of Mt. Princeton but the fact that we had the freedom to make the space our own and do with it what we wished. The owners are incredible to work with and so responsive. Their staff and partner vendors were also great to work with. The Barn at Sunset Ranch allowed my husband and I to have our dream wedding day! The Barn at Sunset Ranch will forever hold a piece of my heart. This was truly the best day of my life, and the venue played such a meaningful role in making my day everything I dreamed it would be. Mrs. Greenfield was so pleasant to work with. Communication was quick and seamless. Setting up times and days for our special day, was less stressful because of the flexibility and kindness. Not to mention this barn being a dream wedding destination!! The bridal suite was a perfect place to get ready, plenty of room and space for quests and the cutest liquor trailer. All the staff was incredible and made me feel on cloud 9 the entire time. Thankful for this venue, the employees, and the memories!

We recently used this venue for our early August wedding and couldn’t be more thrilled. The communication leading to the wedding was great. Very quick responses and open to any questions that we had come up. Truly amazing location. Super windy during our ceremony but that is common for open area venues in the mountains. It’s such a cool venue, crazy decorating is not necessary. Our guests couldn’t believe how beautiful and perfect it was!

The Barn at Sunset Ranch was the perfect venue! We were in awe of the breathtaking mountain views that created the most stunning backdrop for our ceremony and photos. It was clean and ready for us to use at 8 am the morning of our wedding. They had great and fast communication during the whole process, even after you’ve booked the venue.
