Facilities and Capacity
This rustic barn has space to host all of your wedding celebrations, whether it be a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. The Oak Lawn is a stunning open area that has a 200-year-old-oak tree where you can host a ceremony that is just a short walk away from the barn. The Pasture is a lush green lawn that provides an array of different landscape backdrops, from tall pines to a lovely rolling meadow. The Pasture is also located right next to the barn and is a wonderful choice for your ceremony. The Hayloft is a truly grand space, while still feeling intimate, that has a soaring vaulted ceiling and is built with warm wood. It measures a total of 2,450 square feet and can accommodate anywhere from 200-300 people depending on the size and style of your wedding. The space also comes with charming cafe lighting that makes it a beautiful location for a rehearsal dinner, reception or ceremony. The lower level has been completely repurposed so that couples can use it for a reception or cocktail hour. Couples may also choose the Lakeview as another picturesque location to exchange their vows.
The barn is a full-service wedding venue with on-site catering available. The service staff will work with you to make all the arrangements for your event. They offer different packages that you can choose from based on your wedding size and the amount of days you want to rent the facility.
All food and beverage is catered by the resort, taking care of every detail of your menu so you don't have to. They have a wonderful selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres that serve 25 people per tray. They also have a full liquor license so that you can purchase everything in-house.
Five Lakes Resort has 11 cabins ranging from one to three bedrooms that sleep about eight people. Each cabin has a full kitchen. You can book all or some of the cabins for your wedding, setting up a room block at the same time you book your wedding.
The Barn at Five Lakes Resort was originally built in the 1940s. In the early years it was a private hunting camp. Later on it was purchased by Fair Hills in 1976. It was used throughout the 1970s and '80s as a teen getaway, and in the '90s it was used for staff excursions and team building outings. By 2009, the barn was in disarray and needed to be renovated. Renovations and upgrades were completed in 2012, hosting its first wedding that fall.

Let's start off with the venue... WOW! Everything about our wedding day was perfect, the venue was beyond what I ever imagined (as I toured in February for our July wedding). The grounds are beautifully cared for. From start to finish every detail was covered. We had the pleasure of working with Marlette, who answered every one of my questions promptly.
The staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. The venue is so beautiful. The weather was perfect (even if it rained they had a back up plan for us). I couldn't have imagined a better day.
