The Barn at Cauffiel is a historic wedding venue located in Wilmington, Delaware. A beautiful country estate situated in Bellevue State Park and overlooking the Delaware River, it's the perfect mix of rustic charm and elegant sophistication.
Facilities and Capacity
The Barn at Cauffiel offers a number of spaces that are perfect for ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hours. You could hold a romantic outdoor ceremony in the venue's impeccably landscaped gardens, exchanging vows on the gazebo. You could then move into the Colonial Revival-style Cauffiel House for cocktails in the ornate dining room, boasting its original mid-20th century furnishings. Alternatively, you could remain outside to enjoy your drinks on the manicured lawn. Outdoor receptions can be held in a spacious tent, while indoor receptions can be held in the newly-restored rustic barn. The barn seats 200 and has a cozy, welcoming feel with its wooden interior, exposed beams, and warm string lights. It makes a perfect place to eat, drink, and dance the night away with friends and family.

Jeffrey Miller Catering can provide delicious dishes and desserts for your reception, meaning you won't have to look elsewhere for catering services. The venue also offers bar services, and event rentals are available if desired. If you or any guests wish to stay overnight, there are seven comfortable, elegantly-furnished bedrooms in the house that can serve as accommodation.

Beautiful Fall Wedding
Back in late 2019, exploring the property and imagining our day there took some vision as the property had not yet been renovated. But the way Tom spoke about the vision for the property we knew it would be beautiful. We got to watch over our long engagement as the venue was transformed. The finished product is more than we could have hoped for--keeping the charming character of the original property while making it also feel updated and welcoming.
Our wedding day went beautifully and all of our guests enjoyed the experience! For us, the best part was that the property is a complete package. Ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and rooms for the bridal party all in one place! Tie that in with JAM's proven catering prowess and its a recipe for success!
