The AKaydia is a wedding ceremony and reception venue in Barneveld, New York, that has breathtaking views and prides itself on being a beautiful place with natural simplicity. Named for the owner’s mother who passed, The AKaydia sits between the Adirondack Park and the Russia Valley in Central New York. With two ponds on the property and a tree-lined private driveway, the views stretch for miles around (including a scenic driveway through the woods). The AKaydia is a short drive to many of New York’s lakes, rivers, and mountains — perfect for outdoor exploration on your down time.
Facilities and Capacity
The AKaydia can accommodate up to 1,000 guests for your event (with a minimum of 25), making this location a hot spot for weddings big or small. The main building is a Queen Anne Victorian (the owner’s dream house) with outside window frames that lead to a staircase inside the home. Event venues include uncovered outdoor locations on the property, so this venue is perfect for couples in the late spring, summer, and early fall looking to have an outdoor wedding.
A newly built Californian Queen Anne Victorian isn’t available for inside use, but provides a picturesque backdrop to your photos; however, there are multiple other locations on the property for photographs, and you have full use of all of them, so don’t feel like you’re restricted to one area! Outside the home is a large sunken firewall, perfect for you and your guests to sit, relax, and enjoy the sunrise and sunset as your wedding weekend progresses. If you so choose, there are spots at The AKaydia that can accommodate a tent.
The AKaydia is able to provide couples with space for bridal showers, ceremonies, elopements, engagement parties, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. There is ample parking for you and your guests. The AKaydia offers couples event rental services, if you’re in need of a tent.
