We are so glad we picked Tawny to do our wedding and reception photography! We really liked the work displayed on her portfolio site, and after meeting up for an initial interview we knew she would be easy to work with. We interviewed several photographers that all had great portfolios and similar prices, so it really came down to choosing based on how pleasant working with them would be.

Tawny was prepared and easy-going and obviously very talented. She is great about email correspondence (you’d be surprised at how many vendors are not) and sent us some simple worksheets to plan out family portraits and worked with our coordinator to figure out the best shooting schedule. At our rehearsal and wedding, Tawny was unobtrusive - to the point that a few guests said they hardly noticed we had a photographer at all - but also able to give directions for posed shots. She and her husband Irv (who was her second shooter the day of the wedding) had great ideas for fun group shots and the detail photos they took were inspired. We were especially touched that Tawny included shots of Rachel’s childhood home in the “getting ready” photos.

We loved how the pictures turned out! Our guests also thought Tawny was “outstanding” and that her photos “truly captured the joy of [our] wedding from start to finish.” We would recommend Tawny to anyone looking for a professional, talented photographer who is fun to work with. She also photographs food, and we have never wanted to eat a donut more in our entire lives than the ones we saw on her website. From the moment we met her until the end of the wedding, Tawny was a calm, super-pleasant presence, and someone we were very grateful to have on our team.

Both the portraits and the candid shots are beautiful, and have the light, airy, modern feel that perfectly represents our wedding in Tulum, Mexico. Tawny captured every moment that mattered to us, and then some.

She was also easy and fun to work with, has a very relaxed approach that sets you at ease, and takes initiative to get all the right shots--leaving you to just enjoy your day. Before the wedding, she was very communicative and did planning calls with us, and was accommodating of our extra requests ("Can we have a group photo where you stand on a ladder at the ceremony? Can you photograph us on top of a mountain? Thanks!") On the day of the wedding, she blended in well and we didn't even notice the candid shots.

After the wedding, we received our photos via a Pixieset web gallery, allowing all of our guests to easily see all 700 photos on one page, as well the larger files on a thumb drive. Tawny's little touches, like the personalized thumb drive engraved with our names, made the experience extra nice for us. We highly recommend using Tawny, we couldn't be happier with our experience.
