From the very start, Tara’s professionalism was unmatched. She kicked things off by immediately providing an extensive, detailed questionnaire to ensure all of our wants and inputs were captured right away. We then had a phone call a week before the wedding to finalize everything. Her email communication throughout the entire process was seamless and filled with detailed, clear instructions.
Tara’s personality is absolutely adorable and magnetic. During all of our photo sessions—the picnic, the wedding, and the sunset photos—she made us feel completely guided, comfortable, and very natural. Tara brought an infectious pep and energy to the shoot that got everyone excited. She was amazing with our requested group photos, expertly adjusting guest positions and stances to create awesome, artistic group portraits. For our sunset photos, her gentle guidance and conversation gave us the most breathtaking shots we have ever seen.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to her incredible second photographer for the wedding day—who, funnily enough, is also named Tara! Both Taras operated like total photo ninjas during the wedding, completely blending into the background to grab authentic, candid memories we didn't even realize were happening.
Tara Lee's artistic talent is truly insane—there is a deep, rich feeling within each photograph. On top of that, her turnaround time was mind-blowing. She provided instant sneak peeks and delivered our full gallery of ~1,200 photos in less than two weeks! The online site was beautiful, modern, and incredibly easy to navigate. When we saw the gallery for the first time, it brought back so many wonderful emotions and allowed us to completely relive our events through the photos. We are so thrilled with her work that we are already planning to order our custom prints and heirloom photo albums directly through her, fully confident they will exceed our expectations. Hiring Tara was one of the best decisions we made!

She was SO much more than a photographer. She helped us create our timeline, kept the day flowing smoothly, and gave us incredible recommendations for our officiant, florals, and hair/makeup. Having someone that experienced and thoughtful in our corner made such a huge difference and took a lot of stress off of us.

And then the PHOTOS. We were completely speechless when we got our gallery back. She captured the day so naturally and perfectly. We’ve already looked through the gallery so many times and still can’t get over how beautiful everything turned out.

Her work is incredibly natural and real. No heavy filters, no forced poses, just us, the ocean, the light, the nature, and the energy of the moment. She captured what was genuinely important to us: the waves, the surroundings, and how we felt with each other.

When we received the photos, we felt so emotional seeing them for the first time. They are authentic, timeless, and beautifully true to who we are as a couple.

I have been skeptical of some wedding photos as they often can feel forced or fake. However, Tara captured the joyful essence of our relationship. Though she has an incredible knowledge of the lighting and the scenery to get a wonderful backdrop, her ability to document our love and happiness on our big day is second to none. The photos during the ceremony showed us scenes that we love replaying as well as ones that we completely missed but are so happy she recorded. As for the family photos, it was so well organized that everyone could get to the cocktail hour in a timely manner. The sunset photos are breathtaking and we adore the photos captured during the speeches and first dances. We highly recommend Tara Lee.

Wow, Tara is a pro. My husband and I had our destination wedding in Maui and were so glad we chose Tara! She has such a keen eye for lighting and composition and really captured the best of everyone. I have never loved having pictures taken of me but I absolutely adore our photos! She really knew what to do to make everyone look and feel their best. All our wedding party and families have been loving looking through the gallery and we can't wait to order prints! From the first call she was organized, professional and proactive in helping us plan the timeline, decide on locations, suggesting ideas, and helping shape the energy of our entire trip. She listened to our vision and built a plan that felt 100% us!
What we loved most was that the photoshoot felt like an extension of our ceremony! It was so much more than we expected and so meaningful and magical. During the shoot it genuinely felt like JUST US. Long, quiet eye contact. Melting into each other in embraces. Sweet kisses that sealed and resealed our commitment. And then bursts upon bursts of laughter doing playful poses like piggybacks, jumps, spins, and dips. We literally had SO MUCH FUN!
When we opened the gallery yesterday, we were floored! Editorial and glamorous, yet undeniably real - undeniably US. We teared up, laughed and relived the memories as we oohed and awed over every frame. We can’t wait to share with our family and friends!!
Tara was wonderfully directive in the best way during the shoot. No awkward guessing. She guided hand placement, posture, angles, and tiny micro-adjustments with a constant flow of creative ideas. But it didn’t feel overwhelming or inauthentic in any way. I was worried a photoshoot might feel stiff and awkward but that was the FURTHEST from the truth! We were present, relaxed, and had SO MUCH FUN. She kept the timeline smooth and anticipated what we needed before we asked.
Turnaround was SO FAST! We received a set of stunning photos in a sneak peek within 24 hours and our full gallery EXACTLY 4 weeks after the wedding. She even coached us on how to experience the gallery together so we could savor it. Communication was clear, delivery was seamless, and every detail felt intentional.
