This cake was not a wedding cake, but I believe me, I wanted to eat and eat this cake. The cake was made perfectly according to what I had requested. I have already placed another order.

takes the cake was awesome to work with, it was easy to set up appointment for tastings, we brought our own design in and they made it happen, the price was great , service was great and the cake tasted exactly the way we wanted.

Takes the cake was everything I wanted and needed in a wedding cake vendor. They were responisve to requests for information with up front pricing, their cake was delicious, and they were easy to work with. I ordered the chocolate cake with espresso mouse - yummy! It tastes like a light, not too sweet, almost tiramisu flavor that everyone raved about. They have extensive look books for inspiration, but were able to adapt to the inspiration photos I brought in. Most importantly they will work with your budget and are very affordable.

Takes the Cake really did "take the cake". The cake was delicious and many of my guests commented on the beauty and impressive taste of the cake. Since my husband and I had a modest cake and punch reception we wanted the cake to stand out as a main centerpiece and "Takes the Cake" did not disappoint. Not only did they make a delicious and gorgeous cake, they delivered it, set it up, and even arranged fresh flowers on it for me. They are a cake bakery you can put your full trust into. Takes the cake provided our wedding with a delicious cake with moist bread and amazing mousse fillings in 3 different flavors. They were easy to work with and were very accommodating to our needs.

We were a little skeptical in the beginning because we asked the Takes the Cake team to make a cake for us that they had never made before. Wasn't sure how I felt about the "trial" run they did for us the week before the wedding, but let me tell you, when this team puts their mind to something THEY GET IT DONE! My wedding cake turned out to be the most BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS cake we had ever seen! It was nothing short of spectacular! We are still getting compliments daily about how lovely our wedding cake was! We are nothing short of appreciative & grateful for the hard work the Takes the Cake team put into making sure our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted. They delivered what they promised, 110%!!! I would definitely recommend them to every bride!

I needed a wedding cake last minute and these ladies came through in a pinch! As their other reviews state they do amazingly decorative cakes but I wanted something very simple and completely elegant. I hadn't realized they didn't use fondant on their cakes until we ate it that evening but it was delicious and beautiful!

Because I have such simple taste it was important that the cake really look perfect since it only had ribbon and a few flowers (we put on later) to decorate it. These ladies, while not always friendly(they are very shy and at times anti social) did do an amazing job on the cake and everyone enjoyed it. My mom will be going back soon for a birthday cake...so we
will definitely be using these ladies again!!

Oh and their pricing...EXTREMELY reasonable!

Takes the Cake makes the MOST beautiful cakes. Our wedding cake was so perfect and absolutely delicious. The cake itself was so moist... even when I finally got to eat a piece that saved two days later!! I would highly recommend Takes the Cake. They are very communicative and helpful, and their cakes are awesome!

Takes the Cake was such a great vendor to work with! Our cake was elegant and beautiful, but even better, it was delicious! We tasted at several bakeries, but this was the clear winner for us. The flavors we chose were chocolate cake with raspberry preserves and chocolate cream, chocolate cake with mocha mousse, and white cake with strawberry preserves and cream cheese mousse. Everyone was telling us how it was the tastiest wedding cake they have ever had, and I agree. I managed to eat my whole slice, even in the middle of the wedding craziness! This bakery was one of our best wedding decisions!
