Sundial Beach Resort & Spa is a wedding venue located on Sanibel Island, FL. Situated on the idyllic Gulf of Mexico, the beachfront resort offers stunning white sand beaches and panoramic views of the Gulf. The property was fully remodeled in 2024-25 and was awarded Best Events Facilities on Sanibel and Captiva Islands as well as Best Full-Service Resort for ten years.
Facilities and Capacity
A number of indoor and outdoor venues are available for couples who choose Sundial Beach Resort & Spa for their special day. The property’s pristine beach, with its crystal clear waters, provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony. Post-ceremony, you and your guests can retire to the property’s stylish Gulf-front terrace to enjoy a cocktail reception as you mingle with guests. Additional event spaces include the resort’s Gulf-view lawn, hibiscus-laced alcove, and spacious Gulf-front ballroom with an adjoining outdoor terrace offering stunning beach-front views and a capacity for up to 200 attendees. Prior to the ceremony, the onsite spa can assist with hair, makeup and other services. In addition to the ceremony and reception, the team can also host a range of related events such as engagement parties, wedding showers, rehearsal dinners, poolside parties and next-day celebrations.
Services Offered
Sundial Beach Resort & Spa offers your choice of all-inclusive and custom wedding packages. Sundial's expert team hosts personal consultations and can assist in creating an itinerary that best suits your needs. There are a number of event rentals included such as tables, chairs, and linens, china and glassware. The Sundial team will manage the set-up and tear-down of event-provided components, allowing you to relax and enjoy the celebration. A selection of beverages is available at the bar, from champagne, signature drinks, and premium liquors to house beer and wine.
For your convenience, the venue offers an array of accommodation options ranging from studio to 3-bedroom residences as well as four restaurants and a host of recreational activities for your guests to enjoy during their stay. Complimentary recreation includes pickleball, tennis, kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, beach volleyball, organized activities, children's crafts and games.

The accommodations are stunning, the food is amazing, and the convenient amenities, combined with their partially inclusive wedding packages, made planning so much easier. We have always had a special connection to the island so getting to have a perfect wedding at our special place made our wedding truly everything I could have ever hoped for and more! Our Dream Wedding.
The big day is here & we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. Our ceremony was on the beach & Francesca made sure our favors were out for our guests to grab. I was able to have a sneak peek of the ballroom before all the guests came in & everything was set up just as I envisioned it. We had such a great time!
We made a whole vacation out of it & stayed for 6 days. We can’t wait to come back one day & relax as a married couple & enjoy all the wonderful amenities & beautiful beach!
Hidden Sanibel gem!
Originally, we had planned for all of our events to take place outside, but due to a CRAZY windstorm and freezing temperatures, we were unable to have the reception out there. The staff worked with us to allow for our an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, and then set up a beautiful dinner upstairs. What could have been a huge damper on our plans turned out to be gorgeous and a GREAT time!
We would definitely recommend Sundial as a wedding venue and will return ourselves as it now has a special place in our hearts!

The Sundial is a fantastic wedding venue. Its recent remodel has taken it to another level. It is one of the few resorts on Sanibel with its own amenities including restaurants, bars and a spa. The roof top patio has a view to die for. Tiffany Onischuk the coordinator is very detail oriented, super friendly and a true professional. She will make your wedding dreams come true!
The Sundial has just been remodeled and is having even more wonderful touches made to make it a hit for a beach front wedding venue! The ballroom over looks the Gulf of Mexico and has a huge deck for guest to gather. The team at the Sundial work very hard to assure that the wedding day is a memorable one! No detail is missed and the staff is wonderful to work with. Marina is very organized and is there from early morning until the last guest has left the party that evening. I absolutely endorse the Sundial for a Beautiful Gulf Front Wedding Venue!
