Sun Mountain Lodge is the perfect romantic location for your wedding, reception and honeymoon. We offer spectacular outdoor wedding sites, such as the bluff in front of the Lodge overlooking snow-capped Mt. Gardner with a breathtaking view of the Methow Valley far below, or the tranquil, tree-shaded shores of Patterson Lake. We also have elegant indoor facilities, including the Main Lobby with its massive stone fireplaces or the more intimate library. We provide the very best in catered meals, romantic dinners, and creative rehearsal dinner options such as a wine cellar dinner.

Facilities and Capacity
Sun Mountain Lodge offers magnificent wedding sites that surpass extraordinary. From transcendent outdoor settings overlooking snow-capped peaks and charming valley views, to indoor spaces accommodating everything from intimate gatherings to larger events, Sun Mountain Lodge provides the perfect romantic location for your wedding or elopement. We proudly represent local artisans and stone and metalworkers through furniture and fixtures. Here, there are multiple different venues available to choose from.
The Bluff is a large outdoor area, perfect for ceremonies, accommodating up to 300 guests.
The Methow Room is a stunning event area with a private patio perfect for rehearsal dinners and intimate receptions, accommodating up to 60 guests.
The Pasayten Room is their largest event room, with space for up to 300 guests, and features a landscaped courtyard and patio.
The Library is the smallest space and can fit up to 20 guests. In addition to these elegant rooms, the venue offers an outdoor wedding tent that can hold up to 300 guests.
The wine cellar that fits up to 15 guests, hosting over 3,000 bottles with origins primarily from Washington.
A wide selection of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snow-shoe trails is available. A mile's walk away is the Patterson Lake Resort, where a sunny beach and various water activities such as boating, sailing, and fishing can be enjoyed.
Cuisine
Sun Mountain Lodge is happy to provide locally sourced, award-winning food and wine. The wine cellar has received multiple awards and is a site to see within itself.

Molly Married on 06/29/2019A dream location!
We knew we wanted to get married at Sun Mountain lodge from the first time we visited. The staff are absolutely incredible and the views, activities and amenities can’t be beat. Everyone who works there is so kind and generous. Chris, our wedding coordinator, was there for anything and everything we needed. There were so many small and thoughtful details that Chris and her staff were attentive to during the day. They were there to help at a moments notice, give advice, or just say hi. The cabins were perfect for our guests who wanted to be by the lake, and the lodge and the grounds were great for our wedding and reception. It was an absolute dream, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location or team. Even when it got colder than expected, the staff at SML jumped into action to make sure our guests were comfortable. Not only did Chris and the staff help to coordinate our beautiful wedding, but they also hosted us for a wonderful Cowboy Dinner rehearsal dinner, lake-side barbecue welcome dinner, and farewell brunch for our semi-destination wedding weekend. So many of our guests took advantage of the guided nature walks, mountain biking, hiking, tennis, canoeing, and horseback riding offered by the activities shop. Many others just enjoyed going downtown, or off into the Cascades for some adventuring.
The food was fantastic. Having been originally from the East Coast, our wedding was the first time to Washington and the Pacific Northwest for many of our guests. From the hors d’oeuvres to the local pork to the sockeye to the late night Okanogan Trail Mix, our guests got a true taste of the amazing food Washington and the Methow Valley have to offer. Chef Tyler and his team did an amazing job of making sure we were eating great food all weekend long.
Many of our guests have told us that they plan to come back to Sun Mountain Lodge and we can’t wait to go back too!
