Sam and the Sugarsnap Catering team are amazing! Sam was great at communicating with us throughout our wedding planning, and made the process so easy. We had a great experience at our menu tasting. The food at the wedding - the appetizers, entrees, and desserts - were all delicious! Our guests were raving about the food. The staff was so friendly and attentive throughout the night, and made our special day so fun.

We couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience than Sugarsnap Catering! From the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres to the raw bar, family-style dinner, and desserts, every dish was absolutely delicious. They were so easy to work with, helping us adjust the menu for dietary restrictions and letting us mix and match to create exactly the menu we wanted.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, and I loved every single dish — the tuna cones during cocktail hour and the handmade pasta at dinner were standouts! Serving the dinner family-style was such a fun way for everyone to try everything.

Sam, our main point of contact, was amazing from planning through the day of the wedding. The tasting in Burlington was so much fun, and on the wedding day, Sam even brought a plate of apps to the bridal suite so we could enjoy them before photos — such a thoughtful touch. My husband and I are massive foodies and knew when planning our wedding that delicious, unforgettable food was a top priority for us. When we booked our wedding at The Barn at Smugglers' Notch and found out they were the exclusive caterer, this made us nervous, because you never know what you are going to get - but with all the fantastic reviews - we decided to trust and take a leap of faith. From the beginning, they communicated every step of the way. We were particularly impressed at our tasting. While many of our other friends had booked with caterers' who had them trying dishes amongst a sea of other couples "wedding factory" style, Sugarsnap had a completely private and intimate tasting set up for us in a truly beautiful location. The dishes were not only tasty, but they were prepared with local, fresh ingredients and well presented. We were able to provide our feedback in real time and even pick elements that we enjoyed from different dishes to customize dishes for our big day. The day of our wedding, things ran like clockwork and the food honestly tasted even better than we remembered. Guests (including some self proclaimed food snobs) were coming up to us regularly and raving about the food. Sam Kilhullen is a top notch professional at what she does and we highly recommend Sugar Snap Catering.

My husband and I worked with Sugarsnap to cater our June 1, 2024 wedding. From the start they were professional and responsive, guiding us as we made our menu choices. They have diverse offerings, including apps/meals for various dietary restrictions and food allergies. They provided a tasting for our passed apps and our full food menu which made us feel so confident in our chosen menu!

The day of the event they were amazing! The staff was friendly and fun and made sure apps were passed to all guests and no one went hungry. We went with family style dinner and they did a great job! Our guests raved about the food. We also served assorted desserts and late night mac and cheese which was a huge hit!

One of my favorite touches was that after the ceremony, they had prepared a plate of apps for my husband and I to enjoy before we joined cocktail hour. This allowed us to socialize and kept us fed on a busy day!

Sugarsnap provided the food for my daughters wedding at the Barn at Smugglers’ Notch. We had a spread of local veggies and cheese for hors d’oeuvres. Dinner was buffet style with 3 entrees so it was fun to taste a little of everything. The food and service was outstanding. The cake was beautiful. Kiddos to Kristen Beaver and her team.

I just had my daughters wedding in Vermont, October 2nd 2021. If you are catering a wedding, I highly recommend this company. The food was amazing. The staff was courteous, professional, and highly skilled with incredible energy, timeliness, and a fabulous attention to detail. The leader of the group was Kristen Beaver and this girl was spot on in regards to every facet of the day, from the tasting to the cleanup at the end. Total pros. Each member of the team was impeccably attired, friendly, and all over every aspect of the party. No shortfalls, no issues. And as the father of the bride, I got to enjoy my day knowing I did not have to worry about my guests being properly cared for. These people are quite frankly the best catering team I have ever seen and I highly recommend them. Their prices are fair and reasonable, they have many options so you definitely have a variety of ranges depending on your budget and preferences. And they will walk you through everything in a patient and understanding way. Fabulous company and great people

Sugarsnap was really easy to work with, giving us great options (including vegan options for my husband and some friends). I was too anxious to eat at the reception, so they sent me back to our room with leftovers and they were just as delicious cold. We got so many compliments from the guests on the quality of the food. Service went smoothly, too which kept everything right on track. I would recommend them whole heartedly.

Sugarsnap was an incredible choice for catering and bar for our wedding weekend. We worked specifically with Kristen Beaver who was hands-down the best possible individual we could have ever hoped for to help coordinate our wedding day. From numerous e-mails and phone calls to accommodating multiple tastings due to my wife’s food allergies, Kristen was the ultimate professional and kept us at ease as we were planning the wedding ourselves from out of state.

Kristen also served as the coordinator and point person for all of our vendors throughout the day and took charge when needed, checking in with us only when necessary. She was kind, flexible, calming, and incredibly organized - leaving us feeling confident even when the weather forecasts changed by the second. It was looking doubtful that we’d be able to have the outdoor wedding ceremony we had always dreamed of, but Kristen suggested we wait out the weather, and sure enough, we were able to get married outside with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains in the background.

In spite of all of the weather, Sugarsnap did a fantastic job moving our planned outdoor cocktail hour inside quickly and efficiently, wiped down the chairs several times after each downpour, and even brought in appetizers and drinks to our wedding party when our post-ceremony photo shoot was taking longer than expected. We opted for a family style meal and the food and service were outstanding. We received so many compliments on the food and bar service and guests are still talking about it today. We so wish we could go back and re-experience our day.
