STRAW was the perfect choice for our wedding with 65 wedding guests in San Francisco.

From the first moment I inquired about menu and pricing, STRAW was incredible communicative and accommodating. They were so helpful in crafting the perfect menu for our taste and budget.

When it came time to the actual day, the staff were all so wonderful and the food was incredible. I honestly can say there wasn't a single hiccup along the way, and that was a huge gift to us during such a stressful day.

We would definitely recommend STRAW for foodie couples looking for a playful, delicious and professional catering experience for their guests.

Straw SF did a wonderful job catering our wedding. They helped with setting our place settings according to my diagram and had positive attitudes. The entire staff on the day were super helpful and wonderful. The passed appetizers were AMAZING. We had a tomato soup shooter, sweet potato tots, mac and cheese with apple, and a monte cristco bite. SO GOOD! Everyone was talking how good they all were. And I loved not having a boring dinner you get at every wedding. The curry was different than we had at our tasting, it wasn't green and I didn't like it as much, but no one else knew the difference. Communication was a little frustrating with questions being asked that we already went over and decided at the walkthrough and were supposed to have written down, but at the end of the day, that's all small potatoes. Overall we were super pleased and would definitely recommend them and hope to use them again! We did a lot of shopping around and Straw SF was clearly the best bang for your buck.

I love Straw and Kristin and cannot say enough at how pleased we were with the service, the food, and service. Kristin and her team of professionals made our event a success. Leading up to the process Kristin was super helpful and insightful. The tasting was delicious and plentiful. The food was delicious and an unexpected treat for our guests in a venue which otherwise could have been "stuffy". Our guests enjoyed themselves and the food so much. We also ordered the popcorn and it was a huge hit!

After searching for a caterer for our small wedding dinner, I was so relieved to find Straw. The other caterers I reached out to were non-responsive and dismissive. Kristin at Straw was so nice, responding quickly to my inquiry; we set up a tasting and were blown away by how delicious and creative the menu was! Our wedding dinner was perfect, all of our guests were raving. Their food is fantastic, service is great, and they were flexible in their offerings (we had a vegetarian dinner). Highly recommend Straw!

Kristin and her team were fantastic! Out of all of our vendors they were the easiest and most stress-free to work with. Their food is fun, delicious and memorable and we are still getting compliments on it. Their style gave the inspiration for our carnival themed reception and was a perfect fit for the fun and full-of-surprises wedding we wanted.

They were willing to be creative with us - they were 100% on board with making a Pancake wedding "big ol' cookie" for us - that was a huge hit (and soooo much cheaper than that gross fondant stuff). They were professional, on time, went above and beyond and made our reception really come together - they even helped my friends take a load of stuff back to my apartment when they were doing clean up!

We had a small buffet table, passed appetizers, and Pancake wedding "big ol' cookie" for about 70 guests. Their food is so yummy we can't wait to go to their resturant for our 1 month-aversary and I hope I can find an excuse to work with them again in the future.

We can't thank and praise Straw enough for being our caterer for our wedding reception at Bluxome Street Winery earlier this month. From the very beginning, we were impressed with the level of professionalism and care from Kristin and her staff. During the food sampling, we were treated with an assortment of Straw's best bites for us to choose from. Kristin listened to the vision we had for our reception, offered us some nice suggestions, and was flexible when it came to potentially adding a dish off of their standard (already deliciously fun and renowned) menu. We were on a budget, so we decided to plan our own wedding - during this arduous phase, it brought us comfort to know that communication with Kristin was guaranteed to be thorough and timely, particularly when other vendors and caterers we dealt with were the complete opposite. And on the day of our reception, Kristin and her staff took care of food prep and delivery, setup/take down of our rentals, serving our guests, cutting the cake, boxing our left overs, and proper clean up. Everything considered, we were thrilled with Straw's catering service, and if we hadn't already booked a caterer for our upcoming 2nd wedding reception in Spain next month, we would fly them out there to be our caterers again in a heartbeat (okay, maybe not literally pay for their plane tickets, but you get the picture)!

Straw catered my event, and it could not have gone better. Leading up to the event, Kristin was extremely helpful and responsive. Not only did she help make sure I had enough food (and a great variety) for my guests, but she also arranged all of our rentals (tables, astroturf, pillows, chairs, etc.).

On the day of the event, Straw's staff was on time (early even!) and were very professional and friendly. My guests were raving about the food (cheeseburger donuts, popcorn, and cotton candy were big highlights). It was the perfect choice for the party, and I could not have been happier with them (and the pricing was competitive!).

Selecting Straw Carnival Fare to cater my wedding was one of the easiest choices I made during all of my wedding planning. Throughout the whole wedding planning phase, Kristin was extremely communicative, helpful, and professional. All of the planning was seamless and Kristin knew all the right questions to ask and all the necessary details to sort out.

With my limited budget in mind, Kristin had great ideas to help keep me on track and even offered assistance with some DIY elements of my wedding to help me out. I am very grateful for the above-and-beyond effort Straw put into my wedding.

Kristin helped plan a menu that satisfied my budget, my dislike of boring, bland wedding food, and my husband, who is a super picky eater. He greatly enjoyed the ginger-sesame teriyaki tri-tip kabobs and the mac and cheese. I could swear he growled at me when I tried to pull him away from his second helping of mac and cheese to take some more wedding photos! My favorites were the Aunt Sally salad and the Cajun prawn kabobs. My friends and family raved about the kabobs and unique appetizers, especially the cheeseburger donuts. Even my vegetarian friends were surprised at how good the vegetarian options were. They complimented the well seasoned and nicely grilled veggie kabobs, the coconut jasmine rice, and the stuffed mushroom melt.

The staff was very positive and friendly and Kristin was thoughtful enough to make a plate for my husband and I while we were still taking photos after the dinner started. I know most brides don’t eat on their wedding day, but I had no intention of missing out on the dinner from Straw!

Overall, the food was special, delicious, and memorable, and the service was superb. My family loved the food so much, they are planning to make a trip to the San Francisco restaurant soon to relive the Straw experience!

I cannot rate Straw and Kristin highly enough. Honestly, they made my wedding incredible. Kristin was super responsive to all my questions and went absolutely above and beyond what any catering manager usually does. I did not hire a day of coordinator to save money, and she stepped right up to help, setting up tables and centerpieces, as well as the dessert table and the bar. She was helpful throughout the night and multiple members of my friends and family commented on how great she was in helping move things around and keep things going smoothly. The way our venue was set up, we had to move tables to clear the dance floor after dinner, and the straw team executed it perfectly with no disturbance to any of the guests. They were quick and efficient, and just generally friendly the whole night. And at the very end, they packed up everything and moved it to the truck. They kept my day stress free and I am greatly appreciative of that.

And the food. Seriously the food was amazing. Everyone loved it. We did a mixture of sliders and mac and cheese and people demolished everything. We also rented the cotton candy machine, which might have been the actual star of the party. My nieces and nephews are still talking about it.

Pretty much everything about Straw was perfect for my wedding. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone that asked!

Kristin was beyond great and very accommodating. Not to mention the food is on-of-a-kind and very delicious!!
