We were SO EXCITED to have Steve play at our wedding. He was truly a perfect fit our our day. From the acoustic guitar for our beach ceremony to DJing the reception and MCing in between he helped to create the atmosphere the whole way through. He played all of our favorites and ensured that everyone had a great time. We had a very small wedding and it added so much to have the right music to help us celebrate. Steve! I met Steve by chance. I had just decided Casa Ybel would be my wedding venue and I was sitting down by the pool when I heard him playing his guitar and singing. At that moment I stepped outside my comfort zone and introduced myself to him, knowing I wanted him at my wedding! He was great to work with. Responsive, helpful, and fun!
His voice is amazing and he’s great with his guitar. He played his guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then switched to DJing the rest of the night! It was like a 2-for-1 because he’s good at everything!
Behind the scenes stuff like setting up, making sure officiant was mic’ed, moving multiple times due to cocktail hour being in a different space, making sure timing worked for everything— just wow. Then his space he has as a DJ was awesome. When people gave speeches he was right there, ready to hand off the mic always. His music is really good, he reads the crowd well! Pay for his up-lighting. Man, that makes a room shine! Thank you so much Steve! As I took the cake as your longest retainer due to covid-19, you were well worth the wait!! Thanks for the beautiful memories.

I wanted a band and Steve and team did not disappoint. We met with him earlier in the week and actually brought our bridal party out the night prior to see him. We had a blast and an even better time at the wedding. So many of our guests had nothing but compliments for the band. He even played my parents wedding song and made the night even better. Steve was able to make the evening flow very nicely. Such a great night. Thank you so much!

Steve is fantastic! He was very easy to work with as we planned out our ceremony and reception. His positive and enthusiastic personality is so great, especially when you are getting bogged down from making so many decisions. He played guitar/sang for our ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ'd our reception. He did a great job of monitoring the dancing and playing songs people were into. He also took song requests, which our guests loved. Additionally, he did a great job making sure everything was set up so our guests could all hear the speeches and toasts. We cannot say enough about how great Steve is. We absolutely recommend him if you are looking for someone who can play/sing and DJ!

If you want a wedding DJ who does it all, hire Steve Farst! Steve played tropical Jimmy Buffet-esque songs on his acoustic guitar at my cocktail hour to get people in a festive mood at my Casa Ybel wedding, then brought his DJ skills to my reception and gave us a party that we will never forget! Another awesome thing about Steve--he is very willing to go the extra mile to make your event exactly what you have always dreamed of! My dad really wanted a specific song for our Father-Daughter Dance, but it wasn't listed on Steve's playlist. I asked Steve about it, thinking that maybe he would be able to DJ the original artist version...but no, Steve took the time and effort to learn the song and sing it live for us! He truly made my dad's night! Steve is also great with taking requests, even if they are fairly obscure, and his personality is entertaining but not over-the-top! We were getting compliments about his music all night! Thanks Steve!

I can't say enough about Steve. He provided stellar entertainment for my wedding on Sanibel Island at Casa Ybel Resort. Steve does it ALL and is ridiculously talented -from performing soft acoustic guitar and vocals during our ceremony, cocktail and dinner hours, to seamlessly shifting to a high energy DJ and MC for a pumping dance reception! Steve kept the party going all night long. In fact, I'm pretty sure our group broke the dance floor. He uses state of the art equipment and even includes party lighting for the dance floor (which often costs extra). I had lots of specific requests for our wedding, including a first dance song that wasn't included on his list of live vocal songs. But after talking to Steve about it, he went ahead and learned the song and performed it flawlessly for our first dance. Steve is laid back but super professional and has a great party personality. Not only did we love him but all of our guests loved him too!!!

Oh wow! Where do I even begin? Steve was perfect! He is the whole package! I didn't have to worry about any details on our wedding day, he had it all under control! As a destination bride that is priceless! He is excellent at finding out what all you need and making sure it happens. My groom had some specific songs he wanted to hear and Steve made sure they were all covered. He also knows his music and his audience and he knows just went to cut off a song to keep from dragging on, especially with slow dances! He knew how to read the audience and see what they were in too. He promised me he would tire out my guests and he did just that! They all had a great time. And he made my bridesmaids (and mine) night when he played Sweet Home Alabama and threw in the Auburn Fight Song! Even my groom, whom was skeptical at first, walked away completely impressed! His DJ skills are awesome all on their own but when he picked up the guitar and played it made the whole thing even better! You will NOT be disappointed with Steve!
