  Amazing Guitarist - Book Him for Your Wedding

  We were SO EXCITED to have Steve play at our wedding. He was truly a perfect fit our our day. From the acoustic guitar for our beach ceremony to DJing the reception and MCing in between he helped to create the atmosphere the whole way through. He played all of our favorites and ensured that everyone had a great time. We had a very small wedding and it added so much to have the right music to help us celebrate. I would recommend him to anyone planning their wedding. Thank you Steve!

  Just go hire him already!

  Steve! I met Steve by chance. I had just decided Casa Ybel would be my wedding venue and I was sitting down by the pool when I heard him playing his guitar and singing. At that moment I stepped outside my comfort zone and introduced myself to him, knowing I wanted him at my wedding! He was great to work with. Responsive, helpful, and fun!
  His voice is amazing and he’s great with his guitar. He played his guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then switched to DJing the rest of the night! It was like a 2-for-1 because he’s good at everything!
  Behind the scenes stuff like setting up, making sure officiant was mic’ed, moving multiple times due to cocktail hour being in a different space, making sure timing worked for everything— just wow. Then his space he has as a DJ was awesome. When people gave speeches he was right there, ready to hand off the mic always. His music is really good, he reads the crowd well! Pay for his up-lighting. Man, that makes a room shine! Thank you so much Steve! As I took the cake as your longest retainer due to covid-19, you were well worth the wait!! Thanks for the beautiful memories.

  Couldn't have asked for better music

  I wanted a band and Steve and team did not disappoint. We met with him earlier in the week and actually brought our bridal party out the night prior to see him. We had a blast and an even better time at the wedding. So many of our guests had nothing but compliments for the band. He even played my parents wedding song and made the night even better. Steve was able to make the evening flow very nicely. Such a great night. Thank you so much!

  Steve is fantastic! He was very easy to work with as we planned out our ceremony and reception. His positive and enthusiastic personality is so great, especially when you are getting bogged down from making so many decisions. He played guitar/sang for our ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ'd our reception. He did a great job of monitoring the dancing and playing songs people were into. He also took song requests, which our guests loved. Additionally, he did a great job making sure everything was set up so our guests could all hear the speeches and toasts. We cannot say enough about how great Steve is. We absolutely recommend him if you are looking for someone who can play/sing and DJ!

  If you want a wedding DJ who does it all, hire Steve Farst! Steve played tropical Jimmy Buffet-esque songs on his acoustic guitar at my cocktail hour to get people in a festive mood at my Casa Ybel wedding, then brought his DJ skills to my reception and gave us a party that we will never forget! Another awesome thing about Steve--he is very willing to go the extra mile to make your event exactly what you have always dreamed of! My dad really wanted a specific song for our Father-Daughter Dance, but it wasn't listed on Steve's playlist. I asked Steve about it, thinking that maybe he would be able to DJ the original artist version...but no, Steve took the time and effort to learn the song and sing it live for us! He truly made my dad's night! Steve is also great with taking requests, even if they are fairly obscure, and his personality is entertaining but not over-the-top! We were getting compliments about his music all night! Thanks Steve!

  I can't say enough about Steve. He provided stellar entertainment for my wedding on Sanibel Island at Casa Ybel Resort. Steve does it ALL and is ridiculously talented -from performing soft acoustic guitar and vocals during our ceremony, cocktail and dinner hours, to seamlessly shifting to a high energy DJ and MC for a pumping dance reception! Steve kept the party going all night long. In fact, I'm pretty sure our group broke the dance floor. He uses state of the art equipment and even includes party lighting for the dance floor (which often costs extra). I had lots of specific requests for our wedding, including a first dance song that wasn't included on his list of live vocal songs. But after talking to Steve about it, he went ahead and learned the song and performed it flawlessly for our first dance. Steve is laid back but super professional and has a great party personality. Not only did we love him but all of our guests loved him too!!!

  Steve was absolutely amazing! His talent is out of this world. I am so happy we choose him to preform and DJ at our wedding. I have since then received numerous comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed Steve. I would HIGHLY recommend him!

  We heard about Steve through a mutual friend, we met with him and went to a bar in Ft. Myers to check him our and we instantly knew this man would set the best mood on our wedding day! We had each guest fill out a song they wanted to hear at our wedding on the rsvp card and forgot to give it to him for the wedding day, however, he played our style just by giving him the specific songs we wanted (processional, first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, etc.) all of our guests were very impressed and asked when they could go to his concert and buy his album :)

  There are not enough great things I can say about Steve. I never realized how a DJ can make or break a wedding...he certainly made our wedding.   We were recently married at the Heitman House and had the pleasure of having Steve Farst and his band play at our wedding. Our wedding wouldn't have been perfect if it wasn't for Steve. He is so incredibly talented, professional and passionate about what he does. His voice is amazing and he knows how to work a crowd. The night consisted of acoustic songs and sets played by the Trio. Later in the evening we requested some higher energy DJ music that we chose with Steve during the planning process. Our guests had the best time. We had so many compliments about our band and perfect song choices! Steve was so easy to work with. He listened to our ideas and sat down with us to pick the perfect songs for our wedding. And the day of the wedding, everything was flawless. I can't say enough good things about him. I wanted to redo our marriage over and over so he could play for us again. I wouldn't choose anyone else for your wedding. He is the BEST!

  Steve is and was amazing! I would highly recommend him for any occasion. He made the mood to start our ceremony and during the reception he kept the mood escalating! He is an amazing guitarist as well as a Dj! Loved everything he did for us!

  I saw Steve Farst perform at another wedding and I immediately knew then that I wanted him to sing at my wedding. Steve sang for my ceremony, dinner and then MC'd and DJ'd for my reception. He did a spectacular job as I knew he would, and every woman at my wedding was swooning over his voice. I had a very small wedding and I was worried with the mix of families and friends if anyone would dance, but he played exactly the right music to get everyone on the dance floor and everyone ended up having a blast.   My fiancé and I travelled to Ft. Myers to meet with several vendors for our wedding. Since we are from Chicago we found the vendor list from Pink Shell Resort very helpful. I researched several musicians and dj’s and when I came across Steve Farst’s website and listened to the demo recording I knew this was the guy for our wedding. We then went to go listen to him at a local bar and got a chance to speak with him after the show. Not only is he a great musician but he is so easy to talk to. You can tell that he really loves his job and wants to make your day special. Music is such an important part of a wedding and he did an amazing job. He played acoustic guitar and sang during our ceremony and cocktail hour and then dj-ed for our reception. We met with him several times before our wedding day to work out details. We had several cultural traditions during our reception and he was so willing and enthusiastic about helping make those things happen. We wanted our first dance to be played by the original artist (Feels like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk) but he convinced us to let him play/ sing the song and it was AMAZING! He was right about it being something special  He is very dedicated, genuine and professional. I would strongly recommend Steve Farst for any event. Thank you Steve for being a part of our wedding and making it that much more special!

  Great music = great ambiance!

  Steve's music was one of the things we received the most compliments on for our wedding day. We had a small destination wedding and knew we wanted live music without breaking the bank. Steve was flexible with us as we had to change wedding venues due to Hurricane Ian. His vote of confidence in our new venue is one of the reasons we chose it! Steve had a great list of songs for us to pick from for all of our special moments and having him play background music during cocktail hour, as well as playing music after dinner for dancing, etc, was just the perfect addition to our small beach wedding!

  Steve's music was one of the things we received the most compliments on for our wedding day. We had a small destination wedding and knew we wanted live music without breaking the bank. Steve was flexible with us as we had to change wedding venues due to Hurricane Ian. His vote of confidence in our new venue is one of the reasons we chose it! Steve had a great list of songs for us to pick from for all of our special moments and having him play background music during cocktail hour, as well as playing music after dinner for dancing, etc, was just the perfect addition to our small beach wedding!

  We really enjoyed Steve and his band! Being that we were coming in from out of town we based our decision on other's comments/reviews as well as our call with him. He was helpful in giving us tips he's learned from playing at previous receptions and everything went great. We had a very small ceremony and he played solo during our ceremony. He added the perfect touch! He then went inside and joined the band for happy hour and the reception and played the night away! He was very accommodating when we had a few little guests request a specific song that wanted to dance to. :) We couldn't have been happier with the performance and professionalism from the group! They made our wedding reception a night to remember!

  No Good dont hire this guy

  Tipped Steve $5 right when we walked in and asked to play dance songs. Played one of my requests and nothing else. When I went up again and asked for dance songs he scooped my $5 out of the tip bucket along with the mealsy $2 he had in there for the hour he was playing. He offered to give me the $7 and I said I just want you to play dance music. Worst ever
