Starr did our engagement photos last spring and wedding day photos August 2018. Starr takes amazing photos and is fun and flexible to work with. She is professional and prepared and does prep work in advance so day of you can enjoy your big day and she makes sure you get the photos you want.

We had a tight timeline for photos before the wedding and our limo driver got lost and put us behind 30 mins. This could have ruined our day and photo plans but Starr stayed calm and quickly worked a new schedule so we could still hit the locations we wanted and get the photos in. Starr is also a local in Ballard and had really fantastic recommendations for locations on our engagement and wedding day photos. Having someone who knows the area and can recommend alternative locations was a dream! I would highly recommend Starr for all your photo needs - she is really a joy to work with.

When I was in the process of selecting a wedding photographer for my wedding 14 years ago there was something about Starr's photography that really connected with my husband and me. She was so flexible and amazing to work with. Not only do we have beautiful photographs of our wedding, we also have pictures that capture the essence of our wedding and us as a couple. When our first child was born in 2006 we went back to Starr for family pictures. Same when our son was born in 2012. In total, over the past 14 years, Starr has captured special moments for my family six times and we just scheduled our 7th session for updated family photos. Even when my kids aren't cooperating and I think there is no way we could get good shots, I am always amazed that she has managed to get photos that capture their individual personalities. The session I just scheduled will be our 3rd session with her since moving to Arizona in 2008. While I'm sure I could find someone locally; Starr has been there since my family started when my husband and I said "I do". It is like catching up with an old friend when we get together. I can't imagine using anyone else to capture special moments. Without hesitation, I would recommend Starr to anyone who is looking for an amazingly talented photographer

We are so glad we picked Starr to be our wedding photographer! She did an excellent job capturing special moments of our special day. We can't wait to show these wonderful pictures to our kids someday. She valued my input and ideas and did her best to shoot what I wanted. She was helpful with giving us location ideas. She was fun and comfortable to be around. We liked that we felt comfortable around her. We also like that she wasn't shy to direct us during the shoot to get the photos she envisioned. She showed up on time and was very professional. As a wedding present, she was even kind enough to stayed a little longer for finish our pictures even through the hours of the reception started later than planned. That made us feel like she actually cared about us, and it wasn't all about money. Her passion for wedding photography is strong and it shows in her photos. When I later showed our friends and family the photos, they thought some of our favorites came out of wedding magazines covers! That is the best compliment!

Starr is amazing! We loved having her as part of our wedding and have continued to use her over the years as our family has grown. She has captured pregnancy, babies, and has truly become part of our family.

From documenting my engagement, my wedding weekend, to catching the sparkle of my little boy's eyes, she's been there to capture these moments with skill, a sense of humor, and artistry. Starr was so wonderful to work with! She was efficient, professional, and an absolute joy to spend the day with. We had a rather large wedding with a pretty big family and she was incredible with coordinating the right shots and dealing with family politics all while having a smile on her face. I highly recommended her! Your wedding photos need to document all the small details, as well as the big, you forget about 10+ years later, Starr captured them all!

Starr is an absolutely fantastic photographer. Her artist vision and ability is magical. Everyone can take a decent photo these days with the technology that we have but Starr is a true artist. She can create an atmosphere and feeling of your photos that is unique and beautiful. She is an original and can create photos that capture moments in a way that are like no other. Starr Photography was great! She is very talented and made every effort to get the most out of the time we hired her for our big day.
