We hired John to be the DJ at our Wedding Reception and from the first call we had with him, we knew we were lucky to find him! We heard about him on recommendation from a relative and he surpassed expectations. John has hosted events so many times that he has an excellent framework of recommendations but is also flexible to any input or feedback we had. He has an impressive knowledge of crowd flow and behavior. John provided wonderful recommendations without creating any pressure to buy anything more than what we wanted too. He made recommendations of other vendors and items I needed to purchase to make the event a success. His specialty in Bar Mitzvahs made his help immeasurable. The Bar Mitzvah was amazing. He kept everything running efficiently. The event was high energy and everyone had an amazing time. Several guests were impressed enough to hire Staar to DJ their events. I hired John again for my younger son's Bar Mitzvah. I booked him a year and a half in advance to ensure my success. Once again, John did an amazing job. The event was an amazing success and I couldn't be happier. Hiring John was the best decision I made during the planning process.

I used John Wendelken for my son's bar mitzvah a 5 years ago. He was absolutely amazing!!! He's such a nice, and easy going person and was great with my son when he met him. He was great to plan with. We met and discussed every aspect of the party. He was open to anything we wanted and had great ideas as well. The party went off without a hitch. He was so fun! All the kids had a blast and even the adults had fun because he included them in the festivities. I still have people telling me that it was the best party they have ever been to! So, when it came time to plan my other son's bar mitzvah, I literally brought the dates to John first to make sure he was available. I wouldn't have anyone else run my party!! He is top notch!

John and his team went above and beyond all of our expectations! Until now we have never used an auctioneer for our annual school function, and it made a huge difference in our bottom line. We raised more money this year than ever before. From the early planning stages, to the post-event wrap up call, John and his team provided top-notch customer service. It was nice to have so many services through one vendor- MC, Auctioneer, DJ, Photobooth, and Lighting. It is a one-stop shop for all of our function needs that we will continue to use for years to come!

Staar entertainment was absolutely amazing at our wedding this weekend. Ashley and John were the perfect team. Ashley responded to all of my emails in a timely manner, answered all my questions and made the process so easy for me and my husband, especially considering how many changes I had to make on a daily basis due to COVID. John was incredible. I loved his energy and personality. He was easy to work with and he really helped make the wedding great. I felt like we really had a good vibe going with him. He made the wedding fun, even though a lot of people were nervous about dancing due to the whole social distancing thing, he was still able to get majority of our guests on the dance floor and made them feel comfortable. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about how great the DJ was. He really helped make the party come alive. Like I said, he was super involved, very organized, and had an amazing personality. Would definitely use this company again for any future parties.

The moment our son told us he was getting married, my husband and I decided one of our gifts to the happy couple would be the gift of music, meaning that we would hire the best DJ we could find. Luckily, we already knew who that would be: STAAR Entertainment. In the past we had been to different events where DJ John was in charge, and every single time there was great music, incredible energy, and beautiful lighting. Prior to the wedding day, he or someone from his team promptly returned all phone calls, emails, and texts. John spent time with us on multiple occasions discussing every detail and made recommendations when we weren’t sure. In fact, John’s dedication to his craft is evident in everything he does.

One of the most important points in this review is that DJ John made up for what the wedding venue (a local country club) failed to do. If it weren’t for DJ John, for example, our son and daughter-in-law’s ceremony would not have had any sound. John’s electrical equipment was ready-to-go, but the venue did not provide any extension cords, outlets, or anything else that was supposed to have been in place. Had it not been for John’s professionalism and foresight for things that could go wrong, the ceremony might not have happened. His out-of-the-box thinking – and quickly – allowed the ceremony to take place on time with the music and sound as planned. Thankfully, the wedding was a success due in large part to DJ John!

In conclusion, I would trust DJ John and STAAR Entertainment with any event, large or small. You will have every detail taken care of, and in our case, if you were to have problems with the venue, John will know how to make it alright. As a DJ, John knows how to play a crowd, take requests, and keep the party going for everyone. What more is there to say except for all your DJ needs do not hesitate for the best in customer service, party music, and more. Finally, I personally loved the hometown-feel that I got every time I talked to John or his assistant, Ashley. Each communication was like talking to an old friend.
