Reviews of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church

If you are looking to get married in a Catholic Church, St. Louise is a wonderful, warm and welcoming community. I cannot sing the praises of the two priests, Fr. Tom and Fr. Phil, enough. Physically it is very large, seating about 2 thousand, which can seem a bit overwhelming since most weddings are not that big, but by dimming the lights on the two wings it can be made to feel more intimate. *Note, we only used St. Louise for our ceremony, not our reception.

Being Catholic, and personally connected with this parish, my husband and I chose to be married at St. Louise. Father Zender, our pastor was - and is - very kind, warm, and helpful. While the church is older in style, its multi-cultural and bilingual aspects make it a warm, accessible place to have a wedding ceremony. Unfortunately, the wedding coordinator for the church is very difficult to get ahold of, is not very responsive to questions or requests, and not tremendously friendly - this was even noticed by my wedding day-of coordinator. These issues can definitely can add to stress on the part of the bride. The rest of the staff is very gracious and friendly. Overall, I would recommend this church for any Catholic brides in the Bellevue area.

Run! Past brides advised me to begin the marriage process at other local churches such as Holy Name in LaVerne I wish I'd have followed this advice asap. There is no dance of urgency or professionalism here. I felt dismissed from the very first phone call, and my fiancé has been an active parishioner for over a decade!
Disgraceful.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
