Our wedding was amazing at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. The priest was wonderful. We had very successful and fun precana with the priest and he gave a beautiful ceremony. The singer we had was a young man and he was outstanding. The only reason I gave them only 3.5 stars on professionalism was because of the organ player and the elderly lady who told us the things we had to do. The organ player did a fabulous job playing the organ but he did upset me for one reason. I wrote all of my own prayers of the faithful and personalized them around marriage, the love of Christ, my cousin in Iraq, and my niece. They all meant a lot to me. I told him I wanted my cousin who was reading them to just carry them up there with her so they would not get lost. He insisted they must be left on the pulpit the night before and not removed. Low and behold a funeral was held in the church that am and for some reason someone moved them, they were gone, and my cousin had to read ones that meant nothing to me from a book. I was deeply hurt. Also, the lady who ran things, was just plain rude. I love elderly people, so I am not being cruel, she was just down right nasty to my family and wedding party. If I had to do it again, I would still have done it there because the priest and singer were incredible. However, I would have had my cousin bring a copy anyhow!
