Splat! Did the cupcakes for my wedding and they were delicious! I had the drop it like it's hot (cherry, lemon, sun drop), chocolate coconut, 24 carrot, gluten free salted caramel, razorback piggie vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, and a chocolate peanut butter cup 6" cutting cake. Everything was delicious, they looked amazing, and everyone enjoyed them!

Monica is great to work with us. She helped us custom make our cake to suit us. Unlike most bakers we came up with our own unique flavors and she created them for us to try rather than giving us her "usuals". By the time we were finished we had a custom flavored cake designed just for us! She also did our grooms cake. No matter what you come up with she can create it! For us, she created Mt. Hood complete with all of my husbands activities all around the Mountain like a kayak, bike, snowboard, etc. It was so creative and it tasted wonderful! She has a shop that you can try cupcakes in all sorts of crazy flavors!

Yummm. We tasted many bakeries but I have to say Splat was the best and most professional. They won me over before the tasting was over. We booked them immediately.

Splat Cakes did a great job on my wedding cake. They were able to create my vision. When they delivered the cake, they were in and out in no time. I just wished their hours were a little more flexible, i never got a chance to meet them! The cake tasted absolutely amazing!! Thanks!

We hired Splat! to do our 5-tier, 300-person cake. It was a pretty big job. While the end product was delicious (albeit a LEANING tower of cake) and their prices were the best in town, they were MISERABLE to work with.
First, they were completely inflexible on tasting - I was planning a wedding remotely and they refused to do tasting except for Tuesday and Friday evenings. That meant my husband and I had to go on a weekend, pick up a box, and then just email with them about our selections. When we went to pick up our box, they were completely unorganized, didn't have it ready, and then just picked a couple of cupcakes to try.
Second, they were horribly unresponsive. Getting an invoice was like pulling teeth - it was two months before the wedding and I was seriously concerned we weren't going to have a wedding cake. Finally my wedding planners were able to get in touch with them.
Third, the MONTH of my wedding, they started imposing a number of extra fees on me, fees that were not in the contract, in fact - fees that were EXPRESSLY excluded from the contract. Weeks before the wedding - I just couldn't deal with it and paid, so that I had a cake. But, seriously, I can't think of anything more unprofessional - not to mention a complete violation of contract law. They imposed an extra delivery fee when we were well-within their delivery area for the fee we originally agreed to, they imposed a fee for the cake stand - something that they explicitly told my wedding planners they did not charge for (guess they changed their mind and, oh, who cares about a silly contract!).
Fourth, when the cake finally showed up, it was leaning! After all that - they couldnt even prepare even tiers?
Would recommend to eat a cupcake- the cake is delicious. Save yourself the stress, just pay an extra dollar a slice and get someone with an ounce of professionalism. Would not recommend.

I used this vendor for 3 different wedding cakes. The first experience was less than desirable, but wasn't the worst. They were hard to get a hold of, but for their low prices, we dealt with it. At the very end, they tried to lay on an extra fee that they had never mentioned, nor did they have in their contract. But Monica was understanding that this was her mistake, and waived the fee. The cake arrived and was leaning, but I thought this was a fluke - so I didn't mention it. Because of how great their cakes taste, and the price, I used them for 2 other weddings just a weekend apart- unfortunately not enough time to cancel for the last wedding. They were IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of for the invoices or finalize flavors, etc. Finally, right before the weddings, they give me ABSURD delivery prices. I'm talking $10-$13 PER MILE when the standard is .55 cents! This insane fee was for delivery's 10-20 minutes from their location! For one wedding, I was able to send one of my team to pick up the cake, but for the other, it was such a large cake I couldn't do that, and the bride had to pay the cost. She was not happy, especially considering we were going by the delivery fee that was charged for the first wedding they did for us - which was extremely reasonable! And only a mile from this location - so you'd imagine the delivery fee would have been the same?! I had no reason to expect they would up their prices SO dramatically! The worst part of the entire thing, was that the cakes, all 3 cakes, leaned. Badly. To the point where we were very worried they would crash and moved up the cake cutting at all 3 weddings, just in case. I think the issue might be that they have the formula for taste down-pat - I mean, their specialty is cupcakes, and they are delicious. But, they clearly don't realize the density of the cake has to change for a wedding cake in order to withstand the amount of time and weight. I hands down would not recommend them for a wedding cake, ever again.
