HISTORY:

Accomplished sailmaker Steve Sperry founded Sperry Tents in response to the classic American inspiration: necessity. To accommodate an expanding guest list for a family function, Steve first created a tent from sailcloth in the late 1970s. The whimsical project grew into a serious business with the collaboration of Steve's sons, Tim and Matt, providing labor as they learned the family trade. Today, Sperry Tents are still made with the traditions and knowledge of hundreds of years of American sailmakers.
