Brothers, Dan & Andrew Chase were initially cabinet makers by trade. While still working at cabinet shops during the day, they built their first 20'x20' tent for a neighborhood party in a one-car garage that belonged to their grandmother. When the party was over, a friend needed a tent and rented it from them. At that point, they saw the opportunity and built a second one; a 20'x40' tent, and began advertising it for rent. However they soon discovered it was impractical to create tents larger than that and in 1979 began purchasing inventory for Chase Canopy.
Today the company maintains a well-stocked inventory that serves both residential and commercial users. We offer a complete line of rental equipment for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, graduations, etc. In addition, we specialize in custom-event flooring, staging and tent washing.
Because we have a good working relationship with many of the tent and awning companies in the region, we wanted to share with them a much needed service to keep all tents sparkling. As a result, we built a 60'x120' facility with a 35' high ceiling. This warehouse can accomodate the washing and drying of tents in all sizes. Living in a seaside community, our tent washing equipment can also help sail boat companies and owners keep their sails looking their brightest in the ocean as well.
Since 1979 we have been serving Rhode Island, Southeastern MA and Cape Cod. We purchase only the highest quality products available and strive to exceed the expectations of all our customers. We are fully insured, long-time members of the American Rental Association and are actively involved in numerous area chamber of commerces' as well as our community.

A Dream to Work With
Working with Chase Canopy was possibly the easiest, most streamlined part of planning our wedding. They are true experts and have excellent knowledge of their field and inventory. They made excellent recommendations and helped us to develop and visualize some of the most important details of the big day-- even recommending options that were more visually impactful but still cost effective, which we appreciated. They were patient and accommodating when we had to make a few last minute, unavoidable changes.
They managed all delivery, set up, and take down seamlessly and everything was excellent quality-- the tent was gorgeous and dramatic, and set a perfect tone for our outdoor reception.

When we found our ideal wedding venue, The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, we were thrilled. It was beautiful and had everything we wanted. Unfortunately, the venue provides nothing to its renters. Everything, literally every thing, was therefore a rental.
Chase Canopy was amazing. Our wedding was a 9-hour extravaganza featuring a 10-song cabaret during cocktail hour and an open mic/ piano bar after party. Each part of the day required the space to be constantly transformed, and at a moment’s notice, and the whole Chase Canopy team worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure that the many, many parts of the day were executed flawlessly. We couldn’t be happier with how everything came together and how brilliantly they handled a long and complicated affair.

We rented a black dance floor for our NYE wedding to fit our theme and it was AWESOME! It looked great with our color scheme and was large enough to accommodate our large wedding. Ben Philbrook from Chase was professional and answered all of our questions about the rental. It was delivered on time and was very clean. I would highly recommend purchasing rentals through Chase Canopy!
