I just got married here in August, 2013. I cannot say enough great things about my experience from beginning to end. Candace Allen is who my family and I worked with the entire time and she was so on top of everything. Every question/phone call/email was answered within 24 hours, most of the time within an hour. She was as helpful as possible throughout the entire process and very flexible. We truly felt that the Country Club cared about what we wanted and did everything in their power to make sure we were happy and satisfied with the service. We received detailed information about everything we were being provided that day, and every single thing was done as promised. While the girls and I were preparing in the locker room (which is huge and perfect to get ready in) on the wedding day at 7:30 a.m. (wedding was at 5), at least every hour someone from the food/bar area came in to check on us to make sure we didn't need more water, coffee, food etc. The venue was gorgeous!! The reception area has huge windows that overlook the golf course and the bar is beautiful. The ceremony was done on the grass near the big fountain that looks out onto the 1st hole. If I had to do it all over again I would choose this venue 10 times over. As an added bonus, compared to the many other places I looked, the price was right, and the food was great!

South Hills Country Club really did help us have that intimate wedding feel. We felt like we had rented a private estate. Very private, we knew we the only wedding being held. The food is delicious, the drinks were poured all evening long and we even had an outdoor cocktail hour by a gorgeous fountain overlooking the green golf course. A very luxe venue to be the center of attention

We had our reception here a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! The food was fantastic from appetizers to even the salad! The staff were super helpful and very professional while dealing with guests and vendors. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!!

South Hills Country Club was a hidden gem for us that did not show up on any of my initial venue searches. We have friends who are members so we decided to stop in. We fell in love with the venue instantly. We used the ballroom for a delicious sit down dinner and dancing. We originally planned to hold cocktail hour on the outside, downstairs patio, however it rained on our wedding day. The staff was very accommodating and we were able to move the cocktail hour to a covered, heated patio area. Candice was my main contact and she made herself readily available to answer questions throughout the process. She helped set up everything on the wedding day and it turned out exactly how we wanted. The food was delicious. The one drawback is that the event time is limited to five hours and additional time can be purchased for a hefty fee.

My experience with South Hills country club was very positive. I mainly worked with Catering Manager, Candice Allen. Candice was very prompt in responding to my frequent emails. She was very professional in providing me with recommendations and suggestions for my reception.
There are three packages that South Hills offers. We went with the most inclusive of the three- the premier package- the premier package included valet parking, which we did not end up receiving on the day of the wedding. I still have yet to determine what occured, as that was clearly stated in the brochure as being a component of the premier package.
Overall, my experience with South Hills was fantastic. This is a respectable and well maintained facility. The staff was pleasant to work with. I would most definitely recommend this venue to a bride who is seeking a venue that is all-inclusive per se (tables, chairs, linens, food, drink). The food was delicious- great presentation and large portions.

I had my wedding here in 2014, I absolutely loved the venue, people are still talking about it 2 years later.
I do have a few things that bothered me but I guess I can get over it.
I dealt with Alex, Jessica, and Candice. My favorite person here is Candice. I thought I had built a good relationship with Jessica, she was very "Yes ma'am" to anything I asked for. I appreciate being told yes, but I don't want to be lead to believe I'm going to get something and not have it delivered on the big day. So... in a nutshell, I had so many details figured out with Jessica, we had plans for a few things and they fell through because it was her "day off", wth? Alex was the one that was there that day. I was promised to be taken to the waterfall location for pictures, no it didn't happen. We didn't even get taken to the lake area that we were promised. Alex didn't check on us not once, during the cocktail hour I was told that a plate of oeuvres would be brought out to the bride and groom not a single piece was seen by us. I get it, it's busy but that seems like something that should happen every event.
I was very happy with Candice, she was the one to tell me "no" and that's fine, she made sure I was happy and if something wasn't going to fly, she would let me know and we always came to a resolution.
Overall, I would pick this venue all over again. Food was amazing, beautiful location. Just ask for Candice.
