Working with Chef Dee and Eboni was super easy. From our first phone consult where we talked about our vision for the wedding menu and how we could tweak her existing offerings to fit what we wanted, everything went really smoothly.

We did an in-person tasting and even brought a friend with us to make sure we weren’t being biased when deciding what was good and what wasn’t. This was probably the most important part since whatever we picked during this session would be served at the wedding.

We also had another tasting just for appetizers, which we picked up ourselves—no big deal. The appetizers came warm, and we got to try them with different sauces. The options were blackened chicken satay, brisket egg rolls, and crab wontons.

One thing we wanted at the wedding was beignets, so we asked Chef Dee if she could make that happen. The dough hadn’t risen in time, so she decided to have them delivered to our house (on the other side of Houston). Honestly, I have no idea why anyone would think that was a good idea. They arrived cold, and it was a strong “no” from us.

That said, the food at the wedding was amazing. Guests were raving about it even after the wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with how it all turned out. Chef Dee and Eboni absolutely nailed it.

After this, Sophisticated Delights will have lifelong customers. Everyone at our wedding said we had the best wedding food they had ever had. The team and the catering manager, Eboni Crenshaw, were a pleasure to work with. The food was delicious and plentiful! Chef Dee, you now have fans from Chicago to Miami. I would recommend their services to anyone.

We knew after our tasting that her food would be a hit at our wedding!! Nobody could stop talking about how good the food was. Everything was AMAZING!! From presentation, to staff, to communication. Would definitely recommend and use her services again!

Wow. I really don't know what to say or where to start. There are no words to summarize how amazing my experience with this company was. One word. Flawless. Ok maybe two. Amazing. As a wedding planner myself, I am very picky and being a bride I was worse. I knew all eyes would be on me and I wanted an amazing day. I also deserved it! I've waited a long time to marry my man! LOL.

Chef D's eye for creativity, her skill for cooking delicious food and execution really set the bar high. My guests were amazed and my husband who is Nigerian said she nailed his traditional dishes. We did a sit down dinner and I had a few guests trying to sneak in the kitchen for more food and they already had hefty plates. I really appreciate how she took the time to make sure her food matched my wedding theme to the T! I really have to say everything with her team was perfect and I can never, ever thank her enough!

Exceeded my expectations. My wedding was almost a week ago and people are still talking about the food. Chef Dee and her team did an AMAZING job. The food was hot and fresh. I cannot wait to use them again!

Sophisticated Delights service and food was AMAZING for our wedding! I would recommend to any upcoming brides to check them out. The food was so delicious. Our guests are still talking about how great the food was! We loved that they offered kids meal options for our little ones. Their prices are also great compared to others. I am so glad we selected Sophisticated Delights for our wedding. The owner Dee is so nice! Again, the food was so good!

Our experience with Chef D was amazing from start to finish. We left our tasting full and completely confident that our guests would be blown away by her flavors. For our passed Hors D'oeuvres we chose the southern dip and Hennessy honey lamb chops which people could not stop asking the servers for. Our main entree was a buffet presentation of the pan seared sea bass topped with lump crab and citrus garlic butter, cajun stuffed chicken with andouille sausage, sundried tomato risotto, and brocolini. Let me tell y’all that the flavor explosions were out of this world and the portions were very plentiful. The food was on time and fresh, and her staff was extremely professional. My Wife and I didn’t get a chance to eat at the wedding (of course) but Chef D had fresh to go plates for us that we absolutely demolished when we got back to our room. The remainder of our food not consumed by guests was also packaged very nicely for us to store. I would re-book Chef D and her team in a heartbeat and we plan on going straight to her for any other catered events we plan.
