Great food and friendly staff, but significant coordination issues
We hired Miguel's catering team for our wedding, and the feedback on the food itself was fantastic—our guests loved the quality, and the staff on-site were polite and welcoming.
Unfortunately, severe organizational and communication issues impacted our wedding day timeline. Despite prior phone discussions to coordinate setup, the catering team did not reach out to our venue until 30 minutes before arrival on the day of the event. This led to them setting up in the wrong spot, removing tables designated for our indoor cake cutting, and forcing the venue coordinator to step in and relocate them.
Because of this miscommunication, our cocktail hour food and drinks were delayed, and the reception setup was late. To make matters worse, despite paying for 75 guests and having only ~50 attend, the food stations ran low. Receiving a follow-up text requesting gratuity after these execution issues was disappointing.
While we appreciate the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff, the lack of pre-event coordination and the food shortage caused unnecessary stress on such an important day.
