Scott is the best vendor we worked with through our entire wedding planning and wedding day experience. He is this incredibly warm, personable, funny person who you would want to be part of your wedding day as a guest if he wasn't there as your photographer. He has a way of really building a connection with the couple so it makes things seem much more natural and not awkward for those of us not using to getting our photograph taken regularly.

-Photography itself: Phenomenal. His work speaks for himself in this regard. He is truly a master of his craft, creating these big, beautiful dynamic shots that bring an amazing "bigger than life" sense to the subjects, while also being able to capture intimate moments and expressions as well. He works with you to create beautiful pictures, but he is legitimately making art. I'm always going to be following him on social media because some of his pictures are just so perfectly composed
-Personality: Scott is just a great guy all around. On a very hectic and busy day, he makes it look effortless and fun and there's no question he's planned ahead but also rolls with the punches. You can see his gears going nonstop, looking for great opportunities for beautiful pics, but he never feels pushy, or rushes anyone. He exudes calm and relaxed and in control. For example, we were trying to get family photos and there was a screeching 2.5 year old banshee child running around all over and he was just there controlling the situation like a boss, no sweat, and smiling/laughing the entire time. 
-Professionalism: He is completely up front about costs, additional expenses, and expectations from the get go. He sets everything up for success with the initial meeting, engagement session, and phone meetings. He tells you the benefits of upgrades without feeling pushy or upcharging. He has a great intuitive website through which you complete forms he needs, billing schedule, etc. Additionally, the electronic delivery system for the photos works great without a hitch. He is accessible and knowledgeable.

Cannot recommend him enough, 11/10 stars, you seriously will have a great time with him and have some of the most amazing pictures at the end.

Scott is one amazing person! He made the whole process so easy. He helped keep me sane through the whole wedding process, I never had to worry about getting in contact with him or anything, he is on top of the ball every step of the way he has this down to a science. I got so many beautiful photos back that thank goodness he helped me design my wedding album because if he didn’t I would probably still be trying to figure out what photos to pick since I love them all. Scott did an amazing job at catching all the little moments that myself and my husband missed durning the day. He caught all the fun everyone was having and really captured the mood and that is what we were looking for. I cannot recommend SMJ photography enough. Scott really makes you feel like you are family!

Scott was such a great photographer to work with. From the day we inquired about using him for our wedding until now months after the wedding, Scott has been such a helpful person to us. He is very available for any and all questions you have, he is prompt with his timeline, and he really takes the time to get to know you and what you're looking for. He makes the engagement session very personable which is great to get to know him before the big day! He was such a pleasure to be around and I felt very at ease the entire day. He keeps things moving in a smooth and timely fashion. When we got our photos back we were absolutely floored. The biggest thing I've learned from planning my wedding and talking to friends about theirs is that trusting the people you work with is key. Scott is so professional and does amazing work. His organization and knowledge are an amazing resource because you don't need to worry about all of the things you don't know especially because there are so many details when planning a wedding. Due to some last minute restrictions I ended up with a backyard wedding and was worried about how it would turn out. Scott is a master at finding the beautiful in the ordinary and I'm so grateful that he was on our team. I highly recommend him.

Scott is AMAZING!! Words cannot express how happy we are with how our wedding photos turned out!! In short, Scott is a genius. He produces one of a kind photos that you're not going to get by going through anyone else. Scott and his associates not only make you and bridal party comfortable and at ease, but they also have you and your bridal party laughing throughout the day. Scott is honestly the only vendor at my wedding that didn't screw up and actually went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Even our friends and family members loved having him around. He is worth every penny!
