Smitten Owl is a New York City based letterpress and design company, founded by two newlyweds who fell in love with the art of letterpress while planning their wedding. With backgrounds in graphic design and mechanical engineering, we found a perfect way, through letterpress to marry an elegant and creative flair with exacting precision and century old machinery.

We believe in creating beautiful designs that tell a story through more than just the words that are printed.

Working with you, we combine elegant text and calligraphy with charming embellishments and beautiful colors to create a design as unique as you. All of our work is printed on luxurious cotton and bamboo papers that just beg to be touched.

Our goal is to set you apart, convey your unique style, and tell your story.

    Truly the best!

    Wow! Michele at Smitten Owl was incredible to work with! I was no doubt a challenging bride, but Michele really understood my vision and created beautiful invitations for all my wedding events. From incredible bridal shower invites, thank you cards, bachelorette itineraries and wedding menus, to the most gorgeous letterpress and foiled wedding invitations. My husband and I could not have been happier with her designs, patience, turnaround and warm demeanor. I will definitely be working with Smitten Owl again!

    Michele was the BEST! From day one when I reached out, her responsiveness was 5 star. I loved the mood board she created to design our invitations, it made me feel as though she really understood what I was trying to achieve in the overall "feel" for our wedding day. She worked with me on last minute address changes and even pre-stuffed the invitations and sent us stamps! We received countless compliments on our custom invites, and even asked her to create the menu cards and church programs for us! She is the absolute best, hands down. You will NOT be disappointed!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for making this part of wedding planning so incredibly seamless and fun.
