My fiancé' and I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience at Skatell’s. Mike and his staff went absolutely above and beyond the normal offerings to design a custom ring for us. Not only did Mike and his staff deliver, they knocked the custom design out of the park and we could not have been more pleased. We highly recommend you visit this store before you visit elsewhere around Charlotte, as you’ll be treated like family and presented with a wealth of knowledge. You truly won’t find better prices, quality or service anywhere else.

They are as special as a family business and they get things done very quickly. They even pulled out a completely unique wedding band that was so me and so my style.

My boyfriend (at the time) and I started talking about marriage and wanting to look at rings to get an idea of what we/I wanted. Following my friends' recommendations, we went directly to the big diamond store everyone hears on the radio. We spent an hour or more in there and left very discouraged and upset. On a whim, we went to Skatell's. When we first walked in I was still in a bad mood from the previous experience and didn't see what I was really looking for in the glass cases. Katie came to talk to us and after telling her about our previous experience, she said, "Let me get my sister." That's when we met Laura. As soon as we started talking to her, I immediately felt more at ease. She explained how they do have rings in the glass cases, but they also do custom design rings. We talked about the entire process - from design, to CAD work, to the final product. She asked to see my pinterest board (because we all have them) and immediately got an idea of the style of ring I was looking for. After one or two more visits, we got the ring designed with what I thought I wanted. I looked at the sketch and could tell there was something off I wanted to change, which we did with no problem. She called us a few days later and said she had the computer design ready for approval. She had all the details I wanted incorporated into my ring - the halo, the vintage look and feel, the intricate details, the split shank - I was in LOVE with the CAD print out. We stopped by and within a few weeks, I had the ring we designed together on my finger. I could not have been happier with the entire process. Laura made the experience so much better than I anticipated. She even answered a bunch of newby questions I had about wearing jewlery. Everyone that has seen my ring has loved it and admired the details that were put in to it. I would recomment Skatell's to anyone and I'm excited that we'll get to work with her again to design our wedding bands. Thank you Laura!

I went to Skatell's to get ideas for wedding bands. With the help from their staff, they helped me figure out what I wanted. They helped me make my one-of-a-kind band using my grandmother's diamonds, and it's absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Andrea was awesome. Looked at several jewelry stores, but came back to Skatell's because we both like what we saw there. I was looking for a band with the Grecian keys on it and although other jewlers had some theirs by far was the best looking. As for the bridal band we decided for sapphires to accent her engagement ring. We were shown Sri Lanka sapphires. They were a little lighter in color allowing you to see inside the gem and its cut. Absolutely beautiful. Dropped off the engagement ring so the band could be fitted to it. Only took a few hours to have it completed.
