Booking Scottie of Simile Productions to document our big day was by far one of the best decisions we made! We cannot say enough great things about our experience. On a more objective note, he was extremely easy to get in touch with, professional, punctual and flexible- all of this with the time difference between the East and West coasts! On a more subjective note, Scottie is simply the best. His creativity, eye for details and intuition come through beautifully in his finished products which, to put it simply, are masterpieces (seriously!! check them out on his website!!). We wanted something a bit different than the typical wedding videos with more dialogue and relatively standard format. Through the music and shots he expertly combines, you really capture the essence of the day. Through his lens, he managed to artistically showcase the beauty of our venue, the emotion of the day, and the overall atmosphere. This will be something we cherish and look forward to enjoying for many years to come. Days leading up to the wedding, Scottie kept in touch and followed up with any last minute questions. On the actual day, he not only arrived on time, but a few minutes early. Throughout the day he stayed completely engaged and focused but very non-intrusive. He worked seamlessly with the photographers and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Everything was essentially effortless with Scottie. We couldn't be happier with the final product and would give the highest recommendation to book him to capture your big day!!

When it came time to consider picking a videographer for our wedding there was only one person I wanted to capture our special day, and that was Scott Simerly. Scott is friendly, considerate, and gets unique shots of weddings without being in the way or distracting to others. We loved our experience of working with him before, during, and after our wedding. Scottie was a pleasure to work through out the wedding and videography process. He does an excellent job getting to know his clients and their wants/needs. He already has a vision of what their video will look like before it begins. He requested our video song in advance in order to create that vision and translate it into his videography on the day of the event. Scottie was very discrete during his filming. He does a great job of working together with the photographers so that neither are in each others way. When we provided the "rough cut" of our wedding video we were blown away by the completeness of the event, attention to detail, artistic viewpoints, sequencing, clarity of the video, and I could go on and on. The "rough cut" was our final cut it was done so well. I would highly recommend Simile Productions to anyone wishing to document their event (wedding or otherwise) and would say with full confidence your expectations will be greatly exceeded!

Scottie is SO talented with videos! He's stealthy when capturing the moments and incredibly creative when piecing those moments together into a video. We are so thankful to have one of his creations to remember our special day by!

Scott has just started out doing wedding videography and he is amazing! Our video has been the talk of all of our families and wedding guests as well as us. We can't stop watching! It really allowed us to relive our day and see all the details and the emotions of the day.
