Simply Amazing!

Both Nick and Sarah truly went above and beyond. They simply made the wedding happen and were so encouraging without and they really put us at ease. Everything they did was not only done with cheerful professionalism, but also lending a hand, organising logistics and even providing props and wise directions to make a wonderful day go smoothly.

And that’s even before we get to the quality of the photographs. They are simply amazing and we’ve had a delight showing them to friends and family at every opportunity. They listened closely to the features we wanted to include and executed them with style. Including featuring our cat.

Hire them, you won’t regret it. Whenever we look back on our wedding we are thankful we had them there.

We cannot sing enough praise for Nick and Sarah at Simile photography. From the outset, they were wonderfully professional and responsive. They walked us through the process, and guided us through all the different permutations of photographic scenarios. They were extremely well organized and everything went very smoothly. Their positive energy was an added bonus. They had wonderful ideas and suggestions, while also diving into our goals and priorities. We felt heard, while still benefiting from their expertise, experience and creativity.

On the day of the wedding they divided and conquered. It was so wonderful having two photographers, as that allowed us to get amazing photographs of each of us getting ready for the day. While ever present, it didn't feel like we were constantly being watched, and so we were able to relax (as much as possible!).

Now we have the pleasure of trying to decide which of the many frameable photographs will adorn our walls.

With respect to cost, which we know is always a factor, we found them extremely reasonable. And for the quality of so many amazing photographs, frankly a bargain!

We would fully and wholeheartedly recommend Simile photography to friends and family. Our hope is to one day bring them back for an anniversary celebration in the future.

Sarah and Nick are a photography dream team! We were big fans of them before we hired them for the wedding because they’d done some great work doing professional promo photos for my husband’s work. We couldn’t have chosen a better team to then capture our wedding.

Their photography is impeccable - incredible eye for good shots, and when the finished product comes to you, fabulous editing. As a wedding team, they are unobtrusive (didn’t even know they were there most of the time), and at the same time, totally on it — making sure we got every permutation of wedding party photos, putting aside time to do gorgeous golden hour pics, etc. They are very experienced in weddings and made excellent suggestions that made our photos better, such as prepping us on how to subtly pose the rings while at the alter, and making sure our speed photos were dynamic and well composited (by having the guests come to us).

We received our photos about two months after the wedding date and couldn’t be happier at the array of beautiful shots they got of us, both candid and posed. This was our fairytale wedding and now we have the perfect images to remember it by.

We hired Nick and Sarah to photograph our wedding and rehearsal dinner and were so happy we did. Before the wedding day, they were extremely communicative, worked with us to create a custom photography package that fit our needs, and even did a venue visit to scope out the area. They also worked with our planner to create our wedding day timeline and were part of many other planning conversations. At the last minute, we asked them to come to our rehearsal dinner and they were extremely accommodating. They made us feel comfortable, and got amazing pictures, while also blending in with the party and letting us enjoy the evening with our guests. They also edited a photo for us to have the night of the rehearsal dinner which was great! On the wedding day, they were perfect. They showed up on time, worked seamlessly with the other vendors, and struck a great balance of directing/posing my fiance and I while also letting us relax and enjoy the day. They worked efficiently to get through our shot list and made sure our wedding ran on time. Lastly (and most importantly) their photographs were AMAZING. They delivered us 12 sneak-peak shots the day after the wedding which were incredible. I can't recommend them enough! 

We had worked with them before and couldn't imagine anyone else shooting our wedding! They are friendly and professional. I also really appreciate how organized they are. When we got our photos back I was so happy with their quality. Gorgeous!

We couldn’t have asked for better photographers for our elopement in Santa Barbara than Sarah and Nick. From the get go, they were incredibly responsive, suggesting to chat a couple times before the big day and they even turned up early to scout out locations. They had some great ideas for beautiful intimate shots that captured our love and happiness. Not only were they our photographers for the day, they helped us out too, even thinking to take a lint roller for my husband because we were bringing our (white) cat with us 🤣, offering to re park our car when it ran out so we could get more photo time, and helping us adjust ourselves for each photo. Miraculously they got some fabulous photos of us and our cat, Pam. Genuinely they are the loveliest people who we enjoyed being around and they were true professionals, going above and beyond what we asked of them. Their attention to detail was impeccable and they thought to bring props like champagne for us to spray on the beach - it was clear they had a very artistic eye for composition even before we saw our photos. And our photos? Absolutely breathtaking! We are so, so happy with them and they captured such a special day so beautifully. Eloping just the two of you can be stressful, but Sarah and Nick honestly contributed massively to making this a beautiful special day. We got married here and are planning a big wedding at home in the UK or Ireland next year and will hopefully also be hiring them for that. I look at these photos whenever I need a pick me up, they are so stunning and I can’t wait to get them printed nice and big in our home. Hire Sarah and Nick, you will be delighted you did!
