When Jay says "Dancing Shoes Required" he 100% means it. As soon as the music started people were out on the floor AND STAYED THERE the whole night! Didn't even wait for dinner to end lol.

Jay was so great to work with. All the music from the ceremony through to the end of the night. He listened to the types of music we liked and really followed and paid attention to what the crowd wanted. No slow songs or anything that would kill the vibe. And I'm not kidding, the dance floor was never empty the whole night. Sometimes he'd switch songs sooner than I would've liked but it was hard to be mad at it because it was followed by another perfect banger.

Hire this guy. You'll have no regrets.

I met Jay about 10 years ago at a friend's wedding. After months of playing a CD that I acquired of his club remixes (yes a CD) I knew he had to be my wedding Dj. As a Wedding Planner I met hundreds of Entertainment Vendors over the past 8 years, but Jay always stood out in my mind. My husband and I both love EDM and House music so this was a no brainer. When our original wedding plans in Amalfi, Italy fell through Jay was my first phone call. Worried that this pandemic would effect vendors comfort levels we had our fingers and toes crossed. When Jay accepted and was just as excited as us to get back to work all my disappointment vanished. Creating a plan that was safe for both my guests, Jay and our Venue was a top priority! In addition to our Safety Plan (being EDM lovers again) we had a vision of our firat dance being more up beat then the normal slow dance. Jay was able to blend 2 versions of our song into one custom masterpiece that was both traditional and exactly what I had envisioned. Fast forward 5 weeks. The most flawless introductions, a personal microphone for speaches, a taped off dance floor and an arms length away from others we were able to celebrate our day the most "normal" as possible. I cannot thank you enough Jay. You truly made our wedding a memory never to forget!

I want to first off by saying that I am a successful DJ that has been part of this industry for 10 years now. So when I got engaged the question out of everyone's mouth was.... who are you hiring to be your DJ! This was a difficult task I had a head of me because I have such high expectations from a DJ. However difficult people thought my decision was going to be, I already knew who I was going to hire. Just to put this into perspective... I know practically all the vendors on the first and second page of this site and I chose Jay as my DJ. That goes a looong way, because everyone including myself was expecting the best of the best at my wedding since I knew all the wedding vendors in the area. Let me be the first to tell you this man doesn't disappoint one bit. Jay provided music for our ceremony, cocktail, and reception. This also included full room uplighting for the venue. Everything was spot on and the best it could have been. I had given him specific times for the ceremony songs and when they should be played... I even stressed on the times for the intro song for the reception! Everything was flawless... as I expected from Jay. We even coordinated a point where I could DJ at my own wedding which was the icing on the cake. Don't even get me started on the song selection and energy he brought to the floor... because it was absolutely insane! He asked me before if I had a must play and do no play list for him... he expected a list from me because... I am who I am.... my response to him was "Do you thing man!"... and boy did he deliver... so people trust me when I say this have faith in this man and his ability to make your day something that you and your guests will never forget. Thank you Jay from the bottom of our hearts because you made our day absolutely incredible and something we will always treasure forever!

Choosing Jay Friese to be a part of our wedding was one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning. From our first meeting with him till the end of our wedding, he was everything we wanted in a DJ. I always thought that I wanted a band for my wedding but the prices for that were not in our budget. But after the wedding we were so glad we had Jay. Our friends and family raved about him. My husband and I love music but when we sat down with jay to start picking music we weren't really sure what to choose. We trusted jay enough to leave it in his hands and he nailed it. We chose Jay as our DJ for our wedding this past weekend, and we are so happy that we did! He was amazing. All night long our guests were commenting on what a great job our DJ was doing. He definitely knows how to keep the party going.
We had an Indian Fusion wedding, and Jay did a great job with this. We provided him with a flash drive with some Indian songs a few weeks before, and he mixed them in with his playlist. He chose the best parts of each songs and mixed everything so seamlessly that the whole night just flowed into one big dance party. I'm a shy bride and usually not a big dancer, but because of Jay I was out on the dance floor all night long and had the best night of my life. Thank you so much Jay! Our wedding would not have been the same without you.

Jay also provided the uplighting and the ceremony sound system for us. He wasn't doing the music for the ceremony or cocktail hour, but still arrived early in the day to help everyone set up for the ceremony.

It was a pleasure working with Signature Sounds. Jay was amazing! Our wedding music from our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and into the night for dancing was perfection. Communication with Jay was efficient and easy, his responses were quick and he always had great suggestions. He truly loves what he does and it shows! We are so grateful for all that Jay did to make our wedding day so memorable!! We highly recommend Jay for any occasion.

Working with Jay Friese (Signature Sounds and Lighting) was a wonderful experience start to finish. He is super organized and gathers tons of information to ensure that the event runs smoothly and to your satisfaction. Jay asked questions I never would have even thought of and was able to give lots of recommendations about other vendors and pieces of the wedding planning process. We were able to find the perfect acoustic cover version of our song so that it was appropriate for our first dance. His transitions are seamless! Jay is truly an artist at what he does. Usually when you are at a wedding, the dance floor has to warm up a little bit before people get moving. My husband and I were thrilled to see that the dance floor was PACKED immediately after dinner, when the "dancing" portion had just begun! Jay knows exactly how to make the music flow for a wedding to appeal to the guests (i.e. playing more classic tunes early on so that the older crowd can enjoy it and playing more modern beats later in the evening for the younger crowd). The dance floor was seriously full all night long and everyone commented on how amazing the DJ was, which we already knew! As a bride with a budget, I know that you have to prioritize each vendor and decision you make throughout the planning process, but you cannot compromise on a quality DJ! The DJ sets the vibe at your wedding and plays a big role in ensuring that you and your guests are having an incredible time. I would absolutely hire Signature Sounds again for a stress-free, smooth and crazy fun time!

I've had the pleasure of working with Jay multiple times and he always does a great job reading the crowd and getting people on the dance floor. I'm not a fan of most wedding DJs but I'd recommend Jay every time!

Jason at Signature sounds was absolutely amazing!!! Our wedding was 10/15/16 in Bristol RI and he was the first vendor we booked after our venue and he exceeded our expectations!! He was amazing to work with along the way very laid back and knew what we wanted. First of all everyone is still telling us how much FUN they had because we had such a great DJ! So let me also say that he worked with my fiance and was able to incorporate a voicemail clip from my deceased father into my first dance song...not a dry eye in the house it was simply beautiful!! Even when during dinner service people loved the music he was playing and it was spot on for what we wanted and kept our guests having fun even eating dinner! Then the party began with his AMAZING MIX the dance floor was PACKED the whole time each song better than the next and it was all the music we loved and so did the guests!! Jason was so great and I would 100% recommend him for anyone's wedding he works with you and finds out what kind of party you want and he delivers!!! Thank you Jay for MAKING our wedding so fun!

Jay was everything that we could hope for and more in a DJ for our wedding! Working with him was extremely easy, and we knew from the first meeting with him that he would be a perfect fit for us. He was able to help us shape up what music we would want to have at our reception, even while we were being indecisive. During the reception, once he started playing music, he kept the energy up all night. Our friends and family started dancing and did not stop until the last song. Many of our friends came up to us during the ceremony saying that they were having a fantastic time, one of which saying that he was having more fun at our wedding than his own, all due to Jay’s DJ expertise. Three of our friends who are currently planning weddings asked us to pass on Jay’s information so that they can use him for their wedding, which we happily will!
