I truly can not say enough good things about Adam & Shutter. From our first zoom meeting my fiancé and I both felt so at ease with him. We are not people who are naturally comfortable in front of the camera, but starting at our engagement pictures, where he had the most perfect spots picked out, Adam made us both feel so relaxed and gave great direction to help us capture honestly the most genuine and gorgeous photos I’ve ever seen of us. I obviously couldn’t wait for wedding day! Adam worked with us leading up to the wedding to build out exactly what we were looking for that weekend, and it made planning so easy having the same company for both photo and video. Adam and his entire team were exactly what you want your photo/video team to be… quietly there for every step so you know content is being captured so you can live in the moment, but never in the way or intruding at all. He directed everyone, in order to capture the photos I wanted, but in a calm demeanor. He was so caring about us as well, ensuring we had eaten & drank water before we took photos at the reception, etc. Overall, Shutter Photo & Film was by far the best decision we made when planning our wedding.

I could not recommend Adam and Aaron with Shutter Photography & Film enough! We had a very small wedding, with around 10 guest and they seemed to catch very single moment possible, while making us feel so comfortable. We've never used a photographer or even had photos taken, so we thought it would be awkward for us.. Not at all, he made sure we got the perfect photos for our special day! They even allowed us to make a quick trip to a near by park (in the middle of winter) for the most beautiful outdoor portraits. So happy with these photos and will cherish them forever!

I absolutely love our wedding video. Adam was really great! I interviewed a lot of people, and knew Adam would be perfect to shoot our wedding. The quality is gorgeous, and Adam is there for you and your needs. I had a lot of questions and he was happy to walk me through everything. Highly recommend shutter!

Adam and team was our videographer and photographer for our 2021 wedding. Not only was he super professional, but he truly cared about getting you the best quality of photos. Our video is a dream come true and something we love watching frequently. Adam took time to scout our location and was very patient with us. He was helpful throughout the process answering all of our questions timely. If you want someone who cares and is amazing at what they do Shutter Photo & Film is the best choice! We couldn’t have been happier!

Adam is not only a great guy but he takes amazing photos! He is super friendly, relatable and talented! He will definitely go above and beyond to make sure anyone has a great experience!

Adam is just the best. He worked with us to set everything up before, and helped me maximize the amount of time we had. He, and his team, captured the best moments of our wedding. We used him for our photographer, and videographer. I’m so so glad we did both. We worked so hard to plan everything, and now we’ve got pictures and video that captured it all perfectly. He’s been very communicative after the wedding about getting us the pictures, videos and album. He’s just gone above and beyond. You’ll be missing out for sure if he’s not documenting your day!!

Where to start, where to start…

There are just so many good things I can say. Working with Adam was so refreshing, effortless, and fun! I’ll break down my review in a couple different areas.

1. Professional, but never stiff – Adam is a joy to work with. He has perfected the balance between professional but still lighthearted and fun. It’s all about the photos and the process, but yes, we will gab about Dungeons & Dragons in between photos. I felt the ease and comfort of working with a close friend, but the confidence and assurance of working with a seasoned professional. As someone who can be awkward in photos, this made all the difference, and I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding and know that I’m going to get good photos.

2. Personable – Again, I felt like I was working with a friend, but never in a way that I felt I wasn’t getting professional services. We can laugh, joke, and then discuss timelines and money in the same breath without issue. He took the time to get to know me and my wife and really cater our engagement session to represent us. We did a Dungeons & Dragons theme and it was so fun, especially because he totally understands and plays the game as well so it was great to geek out about it and get some fantastic photos. But you can easily tell he was genuinely interested in us and making this a perfect experience for us, not putting us into a mold that worked best for him.

3. Technical Ability – the photos really speak for themselves and his technical ability. His use of lighting, angles, focus, and catching those candid moments is amazing. You can just tell that he knows his way around his equipment and had created a seamless process for capturing an event. It really was seamless – while I was catching up with friends at the wedding, he’s setting up a photo station for those staged, family photos. He ushered all us in, got us set up, knocked out the photos, and then tore everything down and was back to the ceremony before I even realized I wanted him to get a photo of something else. I had the thought of “Oh, I want to get this” and boom, he’s already there. He had great ideas for photos, too, which was super helpful as I’m not really creative that way. As someone who needs a bit more direction in how to pose and facial expressions, Adam has a gentle, polite manner. But the fact that he took the time to say, “Hey, can you lift your chin a little?” or “Can you relax your shoulders just a tad?” was comforting because it shows he’s looking at the whole picture and thinking about how the client will feel about how they look in the picture. The little things that maybe seem “picky” or not “that important” can make all the difference, and he makes sure that the person in the photo is going to be their most flattering selves.


So, yeah, 5/5 stars, thumbs up, would 100% recommend. Prices are fair and payment systems worked really well for us. I never felt like I would be cheated out of anything. I definitely got my money’s worth and then some. Turn-around time for photos was spot-on. I got married on 2/28/2021, and got a sneak-peek a few days later with polished, sharp, amazing photos.

I highly recommend Shutter Photo & Film! Adam's work is great and communication skills are on point. He met with us to determine what we needed, had an awesome engagement shoot, held virtual meetings with us to communicate about details, and made the day of our wedding easier! COVID complicated our plans and he rolled with everything and made generous accommodations for us that were incredibly appreciated. He went above and beyond what you might traditionally think of a photographer/videographer doing - like timeline planning, vendor recommendations, and a really neat aerial video! As someone who did not hire a wedding planner or coordinator, I cannot stress the value of his help with the timeline enough. Having another person familiar with the industry to make sure nothing looked out of place was wonderful. The skill level is a given - you can see it in the photo gallery - but I can totally attest to the important things you can't always see: organization, convenience/ease of the online client portal, customer service, industry knowledge, and communication - all A+!

We have really enjoyed having Adam photograph our engagement photos and coronavirus ceremony and can't wait till next years repeat ceremony! He's really fun and easy to work with when getting all the shots for each event!

Adam was so incredible to work with! After seeing his portfolio we were so impressed with his style and instantly noticed his framing ability. He gave us the exact aesthetic we wanted and we honestly didn't even notice he was taking photos during the ceremony or reception. He also made our entire wedding party feel comfortable which was huge for us! We definitely found the perfect photographer and gained an awesome friend.
