Crofter's Green Wedding Barn is a countryside wedding venue located in Montgomery Center, Vermont. Situated within 25 acres of lush green forestry, this hilltop family-run location provides weddings with spectacular surroundings and breathtaking views. With a full range of facilities, amenities, and accommodations, it has everything you need for an unforgettable Northern Vermont celebration with your closest loved ones.

Facilities and Capacity

The Wedding Barn is available from May to October and can accommodate parties of up to 150 guests. Constructed in 2016, it blends timeless rustic splendor with the latest modern conveniences to give couples a magical and extensive celebration experience. With high-raftered ceilings and a timeless hardwood finish, it comes complete with an alter, dance floor, furniture, and lighting.

As a family-run business, husband-and-wife owners Daniel and Kristin Khan know just how important it is for your special day to flow smoothly. From guiding you through the planning process to providing a list of only the finest local vendors, they are with you every step of the way.

Accommodation

Crofter's Green offers 5 charming tiny homes, each with its own unique architectural theme, for couples and guests to stay in during the 3-day wedding celebration. From the Irish-inspired Farmhouse built with 140-year old wooden beams to the pine-furnished Sugar Shack, each cottage is uniquely designed for optimum comfort and convenience. Amenities include high-speed WiFi, flat-screen TVs, large and cozy fire pit, and a hot tub to help guests feel at home. It is also located close to the quaint town of Montgomery Center just below the Jay Peak Resort, which offers spa services, an 18-hole golf course, an indoor waterpark, and an abundance of outdoor activities.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married

We just had our wedding here at the beginning of August and I cannot recommend this venue enough. Kristin and Daniel are amazing, so helpful, so laid-back, and kind. We were able to set up the wedding with family and friends and it was so wonderful to have the time and opportunity to work together with everyone without any pressure from the venue in terms of requirement or timing. It was such a beautiful wedding, the space is amazing and the area is fantastic. We’re not from northern Vermont, so many of our guests had to travel long distances to come to the wedding. Once everyone arrived and saw Crofter’s Green and the surrounding area, they all told us that they completely understood why we chose the space and how special it was to get to celebrate in it. This was the absolute best venue we could have chosen for our wedding and everyone from our family to our guests was just so excited about the location. We spent the night before the wedding around the fire with our friends and after the reception we had another fire and I got to sit there in my wedding dress just soaking it all in with everyone. Crofter’s Green allows you to have the exact wedding you want, and that was exactly what we were able to do.

Thank you so much Kristin and Daniel! You both are phenomenal hosts! You were so attentive and helpful. Our wedding would be no where as perfect if we had gone with any other venue! The Crofters Green grounds alone are absolutely stunning. Now you take into account the gorgeous barn and adorable cottages we were blown away. Are guest still have not stopped talking about how amazing the venue as a whole was. Richard and I are so grateful to have found you and again cannot thank you enough 💕

Unique, beautiful and the best!!

Getting married at Crofters Green was truly magical. Our ceremony took place in the woods and couldn’t have been more beautiful. Logistically, having access to the venue for the entire weekend allowed plenty of set up and take down time without interrupting any of the festivities. The property is beautiful and diverse in its landscaping, creating a variety of different settings for photos and events. Kristin and Daniel were extremely responsive, accommodating and supportive throughout the entire weekend. We’re looking forward to continuing to visit Crofters Green throughout the years!

Wonderful place to get married

My wife and I would very much recommend Crofter's Green. The grounds are picturesque, and Kristen and Daniel are kind, flexible, and excellent communicators. They were also able to connect us with vendors in the area, and even helped us find a fantastic month-of coordinator when ours fell through at the last minute. The barn itself is beautiful. It's a lovely space on its own, but it's also a bit of a canvas for however you want to decorate: you could easily make it looks glamorous, rustic, or elegant. Our pictures turned out great, and while the photographer gets a lot of credit, we also think it'd be tough to take a bad picture at Crofter's!

The best wedding venue!

Crofter's Green was such a gorgeous wedding venue! We cannot recommend it enough. And, all of our guests were raving about it too. Kristen & Daniel are amazing owners - They even gave us a little wedding gift. Highly recommend.

Sheady Acres was the perfect spot for our wedding. It's a family business run by Shawna and Eamon, who were incredibly helpful and welcoming at every step of the way. They were quick to respond to questions and requests ahead of time, and during the wedding weekend went above and beyond to be helpful making everything run smoothly. The venue is gorgeous and we loved staying in the tiny houses with our friends for the weekend, and hanging out at the fire pit and hot tub for the after-party! This is a perfect location for laid-back couples to feel at home during their wedding weekend. Couldn't recommend it more!

I do not have enough good things to say about Shawna, Eamon, and the entire Sheady Acres family. I could not imagine a more beautiful setting for the best weekend of our lives. They made the whole wedding thing a piece of cake for us, and we left feeling like we had gained some pretty awesome friends in the process! Some of the huge benefits of this venue over others are the on-site accommodations (tiny homes as cute as they come), natural beauty in the barn and surrounding area (on site disc golf, hot tub, fire pit, camping area, swimming holes, no need for over the top decorations!), and the ability to hand chose your vendors and personalize your wedding as much as you want. I could go on and on about how amazing Sheady Acres is - we were married there this past weekend and I will practically be shouting from rooftops and singing their praise for many months to come. I would not change one thing about this place and we will be re-visiting it as much as possible!

Sheady Acres was nothing but spectacular. Everything exceeded our expectations from the beginning to when we left. Shawna and Eamon were so flexible and always quick on the email responses. As soon as we saw this venue we knew we had to get married here. Words can not explain how beautiful and magical this place is. Not only did we score with being married here we came out with two new friends. The hospitality from the owners were above and beyond and we could feel the love and never felt like we were on our own. The only option is to go see it for yourself and meet Shawna and Eamon.

I just got married here on September 30th, It went perfectly. This venue is amazing, not only is it incredibly beautiful but designed so efficiently for a wedding venue it makes everything so easy. The tiny houses are so cute and convenient, plus they have all the luxuries of home. I stayed in the Irish Farm house, and even though its a tiny house it was really spacious, there was tons of room for my family and I to all get ready and hangout before the ceremony. There are so many options on where to actually have your ceremony, all just as beautiful as the next, we choose a spot in the woods above a stream that was magical. They also have an arbor set up at the edge of the field for larger weddings that would be amazing. The timber framed barn where we had our reception is a piece of art in itself, you don't need to do much to this space to impress your guest, its stunning. The venue has an impressive amount of tables and chairs on site for you to use which is super convenient, and saves you tons of money as far as rentals go. The owners are the sweetest people, really reliable and easy going, they have it super together. I highly recommend this venue!

I seriously cannot put into words how in love I am with Sheady Acres. My husband and I had our wedding there this last weekend and it was absolutely amazing. We did our welcome dinner there as well and it was beautiful. Shawna and Eamon are extremely flexible and accommodating. Go visit the property... it is stunning and the website does not do it justice. The tiny houses are adorable as well.
