From my first appointment at Sew Bridal, Kelly made everything so comfortable and easy. She had picked out many dresses for me to try and then let me look through as well. Kelly had champagne ready and a positive and energetic attitude toward the process! I started looking for a dress a few months later than recommended (quicker wedding) and Kelly really helped me with my timeline for getting my dress ready in time!

I found my dream dress at Sew Bridal but had some ideas to make it even better and Kelly was open to helping me make all of the changes. She made sure everything came out absolutely perfect and it was an amazing experience. She also took a piece of my grandmas dress and stitched the date my grandma wore hers and the date I wore mine in blue as my something old and something blue, which was so special. I highly recommend Sew Bridal!

Full disclosure, Kelly, the owner is actually my sister, which made this experience even more special and amazing to me. I have watched Kelly make her dream a reality with Sew Bridal and through Sew Bridal help so many people look and feel confident and amazing on their wedding days. It was really a wonderful experience to be able to be her costumer!

I will never forget the extraordinary job that Sew Bridal did for my wedding dress. Out of all my wedding vendors (and I will go as far to say services I have ever purchased in my life), Sew Bridal did the most impressive job.

I ordered a custom-made wedding gown, but it was made too small. Without enough time to hash out the mistake with the wedding gown shop, the only way the dress could fit me was through laborious alterations and tailoring (as anyone can imagine, making a gown larger is much more difficult than making a gown smaller). Kelly and Olga did an exceptional job tailoring my wedding dress so it fit me perfectly. I cannot emphasize how difficult a tailoring job my wedding gown presented, even for the most seasoned seamstress. I could not even zip up the back and walk up the stairs in its original state because it was several sizes too small. Kelly and Olga worked tirelessly to add inner panels to my dress to make it wider, they sewed on extra fabric, one lace appliqué at a time, to ensure the bodice fit snugly, among other alterations. This work was manually labor-intensive, time-consuming, and very tedious, but they patiently worked on the dress over the course of months. The end result was a beautiful wedding gown that fit me so well that I truly felt like I stepped out of a bridal magazine on my wedding day. My husband told me he would never have guessed the gown went through so many alterations had I not told him. I rarely ever post online reviews, but I wanted to post this review for Sew Bridal as a testament to the incredible work done on my wedding dress. At the end of my wedding day, I will never forget the moment when I stood in front of a full-length mirror to view my dress, remembering all the work that had gone into the alterations, and thought to myself, this dress is perfect. It is the most beautiful wedding dress ever, and I credit Sew Bridal for this touching memory.

Kelly was a lifesaver with my wedding dress. I'm the most indecisive person in the world and I definitely put her to the test! I had gotten my dress from another bridal salon and had ended up having remorse. Long story short, we converted my original dress to look more like the other dress I loved and couldn't stop thinking about! Overall process took almost a year between getting new fabric and adding more to my dress. I was so happy with the outcome and got so many compliments! Kelly was also very responsive and professional. I trust her judgment and am so grateful she helped transform my wedding dress! She did an amazing job! Highly recommend! Plus, her shop is absolutely awesome!!

I bought my dress in Massachusetts but live in Chicago and I needed alterations done here before heading back east for my wedding. I bought my dress two years ago and with the quarantine weight gain my dress wouldn’t fit. My grandmother got me the dress and I didn’t want to buy a different one. Kelly and Olga worked their magic to make that dress work for me. Kelly let out most of the seams of my lace and beaded Maggie Sottero fit-and-flare (while leaving the front alone to keep the integrity of the original design). We were originally going to add in a corset back, but she was able to use the remnants from my hem to create a small expander to then add back in the zipper and buttons I loved so much. The bustle was perfect and easy for my bridal party to do up, and the chain stitch on my bust line helped the strapless dress sit securely. Kelly was kind and professional at every appointment, offering support and encouragement as she altered my dress to make it the new perfect for my day. I cannot thank Kelly and Olga enough for the labor of love they put in for me. I will definitely be back for bridesmaid alterations.

Once again, Kelly has done phenomenal work on past dresses of mine so of course I could only entrust her to work on my wedding dress. Kelly has been so helpful with any questions I had regarding any alterations and never rushed me in any way during my appointments! I’ve been seeing her for three years now and it’s been amazing to see how far she’s grown her business! I wish I was looking for dresses when she started showcasing designers, they’re all so beautiful!!! She even made me a mask and hair scrunchie out of the leftover material from my dress, thanks again, Kelly! :)
