I cannot express how grateful I am to Diane and her team in executing our special day! They went above and beyond, having calls with us prior to the day and helping us map out our timeline. They put together beautiful fake florals for our aisle at the last minute since it was going to be too hot the day of and they matched the color scheme beautifully. Diane was absolutely wonderful, and a joy to work with. I cannot recommend her and Setting the Scene enough for wedding planning (or any other party planning!). We had a non-traditional vision for a carnival style wedding, and Diane executed it perfectly. She was our day-of-coordinator and decorator. Her decor was spot-on and incorporated hundreds of elegant details that married the carnival and wedding styles. She and her team handled all of our day-of needs masterfully (including a water-main break at our venue). She turned our vision into reality, and we had a perfect wedding. It’s going to be hard to keep this review brief, but hiring Diane was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! From our very first consultation, Diane made it clear that her priorities were making sure we had the wedding decor that we wanted within a budget we wanted. For a full year, Diane went back and forth with us, sending dozens of emails with floral samples, tablecloth options, color schemes, signage, etc. She considered every single part of our wedding aesthetic to create the customized and colorful wedding of our dreams and every minute of her hard work paid off when we saw the final outcome on our wedding day. Our venue was an art museum, and Diane created the perfect decor plan to pay homage to the whimsical nature of our venue while keeping everything feeling classy and elegant. Diane uses only the highest quality fake flowers - I’m still stunned that all of our florals were not real!

Diane also did an outstanding job creating customized decor for our wedding welcome event/Mehendi. She not only created custom signage for us and hand-selected decor from her inventory that matched with the theme of our day, but she also created a detailed decor plan for our day-of-coordinator to make set-up as easy as possible. Diane cares deeply about her couples. She went above and beyond for our whole weekend to make it easy, stress-free, and memorable. She printed our seating chart and welcome signs for us, gave us our bouquet/boutonnieres several days before the wedding, and gave us plenty of helpful tips for our wedding day based on her years of experience. We are so grateful to have had her professionalism and expertise to guide us through the whole wedding planning process. We could not recommend her more & we will definitely be hiring her for all of our event decorating needs in the future!!

Hiring Diane Jones, owner of Setting the Scene, was the best decision we made when planning our daughter's wedding. Diane took care of everything on the day of the wedding. She created a detailed schedule and coordinated with all of the vendors to ensure there were no surprises and our daughter's wedding was flawless.

I had the hardest time finding someone that was able to decorate my wedding reception venue and bring my vision to life until I found Diane at Setting the Scene! She did an absolutely beautiful job with the flowers arrangements and all of the decorations, she was also reasonably priced. She is also so kind and professional and kept things very organized at the reception venue. She also went above and beyond taking some photographs and sending me the links. I highly recommend Diane, she is absolutely amazing!

Diane was an absolute joy to work with and went above and beyond the role of a decorator. She met with me several times prior to the wedding, was super accommodating, a great communicator, and most importantly always made me feel heard. Her decor supply is incredibly gorgeous, high quality, and environmentally sustainable; you can visit her shop to check it out and you won't believe her flowers are faux. What was especially outstanding in my experience is that she ordered new decor just to bring my ideas to life, including several flowers, a grass wall, an arch, and even a couch - I've never worked with someone who is so dedicated AND charges such reasonable prices.

Days leading up to the wedding, Diane truly thought of every small detail (many of which hadn't crossed by radar) and made sure things got done- she always had my back, even when I forgot to print something or communicate details to another vendor. She even took on a ton of extra work last minute (because of me) including setting up the dessert table, coordinating with vendors, printing signs and photos, and setting up a Polaroid guestbook station. She has tons of experience designing weddings and this is very obvious from the quality of her work and the attention to detail. On the wedding day she and her staff had everything set up for the ceremony and reception BEAUTIFULLY without a single issue- again, I can't emphasize how above and beyond she went.

Diane's prices are outstanding - she incorporated lots of discounts into my custom package, and was willing to create a plan that catered to my budget. No matter what your spending goal is, Diane will help you accomplish your vision beautifully while staying on target.

If you want to work with a local decorator with tons of experience, beyond reasonable prices, outstanding service, and an incredible level of compassion and kindness, pick Diane - you will not regret this choice.
