After decades of hosting large events in the corporate world, and working with a variety of vendors along the way, Diane realizes how important it is to clients to work with stylists, planners and rental companies who listen carefully, provide creative ideas and solutions, and stay on budget. She found it easy to identify vendors happy to help her when planning very large, very expensive events. However, when it came to planning smaller events and weddings for family members and friends, she found it hard to identify vendors equally as focused and attentive. After years of experiencing that frustration first-hand, and hearing from similarly frustrated co-workers and friends, she decided to put her years of experience to work for others, and started her own planning, styling and design firm, Setting the Scene Decor. Her firm specializes in smaller, more intimate events ranging from elopements for 2 to grand events with 150 people. Truth be told, Diane JUST LOVES WEDDINGS! She enjoys meeting and working with couples and can't wait to come up with creative ways to share your personal story and unique personality through design. She admits that there is nothing that excites her more than watching couples enter their fully decorated venue for the first time - and realizing that after months of planning and anticipation, their dreams have finally come true! From formal ceremonies and receptions, to more casual picnics and backyard events - as well as proposals, engagement parties and showers - she can't wait to create that perfect, wow-your-friends, make-your-mother-cry, Instagram-ready setting for your special day!
