Best planner ever!
I always knew I wanted a planner, but I didn’t realize just how much I needed Korina until we got into the nitty-gritty. She knew exactly the right questions to ask vendors, the best way to handle details, and all the little things I never would have thought of on my own. She truly thinks of everything, and because of her we had the most seamless, beautiful day we could have hoped for.

Serene Events & Design is here for YOU
During the pre-wedding months, she will communicate with all your vendors for you and create a wedding timeline so everyone knows what time, when, and where to meet. This will save you so much time and my advice is not to do this on your own. You will have so many other things to worry about. The day of your wedding, they will help setup your table design working alongside your florist and venue staff. It was perfection. They pay attention to detail and knew exactly what I wanted. My wedding was perfect all because of them. The only thing you have to worry about is getting ready and taking your gorgeous photos. At the end of the night, they will also pack everything for you and drop it off your hotel room so all you have to do is just head to your wedding after party.
Quality of service is amazing and worth every penny. Korina is so kind, sweet, and personable too. All of my vendors loved working with her as did I. My wedding went smoothly because of her and I was able to enjoy celebrating my wedding day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Korina, Giselle, and Ashley.

Best planner
She was contracted as a “day of coordinator”, but in all honesty her commitment and professionalism far exceeded one day. She was responsive to texts, phone calls, in person walks throughs, and dress rehearsals. We were truly grateful to provide all the details and have her tie it together with a bow. Truly, I couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her and her staff by our side. Thank you again Korina, I now have the wedding blues and miss planning everyday with you !

Korina and her team were THE best decision we made to plan our dream wedding!!
My husband, Kap and I got engaged 5/5/21 in San Diego where we recently settled down. The first and hardest decision to start wedding planning, was finding the right team. We searched through at least 20 different wedding planning teams. We got referred to Korina and the moment we met - we clicked. She just got our vision and was so invested in us as a couple. We got married on 5/5/23 so, we worked together very closely for two years!!
We decided to go with the full planning package. And it was worth every penny. When Kap and I talk about our wedding, we say Korina was the best $$ we spent. She spent a ton of time with over over a few years and kept us on track in our planning process.
Korina and her team are extremely detail oriented and layed out the planning process in an easy manner. She used a software to keep us organized and it broke down each step into a task. This was HUGE because my husband and I had crazy work hours during our planning process. So we could log in anytime to see based on how far out we were, what needed to be accomplished.
We chose Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla for our venue. It was beautiful but, you have to bring in all your own vendors which felt a bit overwhelming. Luckily, Korina and her team have a great reputation so, she had an amazing list of vendors she introduced us too. So, we had a handful recommended to us so, we could easily choose which one fit our budget and our vision. She also helped us prioritize where we wanted our money to go based on what we cared about most - like photography and rental design.
One of the hardest things to find in a wedding planning team, is the ‘human aspect’ — this means someone who genuinely cares about you as a couple and to help you create the wedding of your dreams. During our planning process, I lost my dad. She sent some flowers and gave me some space when I needed it the most. (Literally crying thinking about how nice this was). She was so kind.
Having a wedding can sometimes mean a lot of people in your life have a lot of opinions. Kap and I wanted to have a lot of non traditional things about our wedding. We made the wedding about us and our love versus focusing on the traditional things you are ‘suppose’ to have. She made this so easy and simple and supported us in every way. She helped plan our timeline down to the MINUTE! This made it easy for us to enjoy every minute and eachother throughout the day!
Last but definitely not least, Korina has an EYE for design. Outside of our love being front and center, I had a specific vision I saw for Kap and I. Korina helped us negotiate with vendors, stay within our budget, and push back on our venue to use the second floor for cocktail hour. It was hard with the timing and rentals but she MADE IT HAPPEN!!!!! Korina is the definition of a sweet and hardworking entrepreneur. The day of our wedding she was calm cool and collected. She directed her team with poise and elegance. It was amazing to see her in her element. She has a tough job but by looking at her — you would never know how much she does behind the scenes.
We would HIGHLY recommend using Serene Events and Design to anyone in the SoCal area. It will easily be the best decision in your wedding planning process!!!!!
