I made several appointments at different places to try on dresses and I only made it to one. Schaffers was the first appointment of the day and I found my dress here! There was no need to keep looking because I knew I found it. The associate I had was named Megan and she was absolutely perfect. Asked ask the important questions and listened to my answers. She also looked at my pinterest and pulled all the dresses that I would have pulled myself. She was so quick at pulling the dresses, my mom and I didn't even need to look or try to help. I loved my help here and always got full professionalism and responsiveness everytime I called.

I bought my dress through Schaffers the first day I tried on! The consultants there are wonderful to work with. I personally worked with Margaret and she was great. None of my bridesmaids are seeing my dress before the big day, so Margaret was the one who had to tell me the honest truth, and she did! Exactly what I needed :) She also helped me find my veil and we ended up getting all eleven, YES ELEVEN, bridesmaids dresses there. I went in to get my alterations and pick up my dress in less than a month! It was perfect timing as I get married in two months.

Not only did she help me find my wedding dress, she came in on our day off to help my mom find her dress for the wedding. And when my mom fell in love with her dress and it became discontinued the very next day, Schaffer's held onto the dress and through the help of their fantastic alterations department, they were able to turn a size 12 into a size 0. And her dress looked fantastic on her! I would highly recommend working with Kacey. She is honest, down-to-earth, patient and caring. Yes I know caring sounds unique for a bridal salesperson but she truly cares that her clients end up in a dress they love. Kacey is willing to go the extra mile (including work on her day off) to help you say yes to the dress!

Schaffers is the very best place in Des Moines to find wedding dresses. They have a huge selection and great customer service. The store is beautiful and they make wedding dress shopping a great experience.

I was nervous about finding a dress close to home that was a designer dress and fit what I was looking for. I knew that I didn't want to go with a David's Bridal dress because I wanted something more unique and high end but I also knew that I wanted to be able to go to fittings with ease. Schaffers was absolutely perfect! Everything from finding the perfect dress to alterations was a breeze! Their seamstress is a miracle worker! My dress was pretty big when it came in and she resized it to fit me like it was custom designed by the designer just for me. The girls who did the fittings were also amazing. The whole experience was absolutely perfect!

I worked with Meg Zimmerman and she was fantastic. I liked how they stayed true to your budget when pulling dresses and even allowed you to look for your own. I am completely in love with my dress and have even decided to purchase my bridesmaid dresses through them.
