Rain & hail storms are no match for Savant Garde Events!
We booked the SGE “month of coordination” package and it was one of the best decisions we made for our special day. We scouted and interviewed various planners/coordinators but our initial call with Morgan was different. We could feel that Morgan cared about US. She was interested in our relationship, what our vision was, and wanted to know how WE wanted to feel that day. She was very transparent with any charges that may be incurred. She checked in with us frequently and always responded to calls, emails and even texts in a timely manner. When I needed a hair stylist, she asked me to send her photos of what I liked and she did the searching to find a vendor that would fit my style. Morgan helped read through new vendor contracts and gave us things to look out for. She had great connections with other vendors that we ended up using like Sweet Little Details for chairs and lounge area (and a LOVE sign that my husband surprised me with), and Muted Tones Designs for signage. Morgan was also sweet enough to let us borrow her own hurricane candle vases for our sweetheart table and her own cake cutting set.
Morgan created a mood board to help us visualize the day and also created another that I could share with our florist to ensure that the arrangements were cohesive with our wedding aesthetic. The Day of Timeline was sent to me and other vendors several days in advance to review and ensure that everything was in order and that no changes needed to be made. The finalized timeline was perfectly timed and detailed and I was able to share with our bridal team so they knew what their day looked like too. A day before the wedding we had an unexpected addition to our guest count and was stressed because that meant we needed an extra of everything we already had custom ordered (chairs, menus, cups, utensils, etc.). Morgan assured me that she’d take care of everything necessary and that I had nothing to worry about.
No one expected it to rain, let alone hail storm, that late in May. It wasn’t in the forecast and the day started out sunny and beautiful. Our reception was supposed to be in an outdoor courtyard overlooking vineyards in St. Helena. Right before our grand entrance, it started to downpour rain; then shortly after, a hail storm. Morgan and her team grabbed umbrellas for all the guests, quickly secured my mothers remembrance photo on display, and moved everyone inside. Morgan quickly worked out a new plan and seamlessly transitioned our reception inside the restaurant, and beautifully rearranged the flowers and all our decor indoors. To this day all of our guests rave about Morgan and how quickly she and her team saved the day; noting that everything seemed as if it were planned to have our cocktail hour in the courtyard and dinner in the restaurant.
Once the day came to an end, Morgan and the SGE team assisted with cleanup and organized all the personal items and vendor returns back in our room. The sweetest touch was when my husband and I walked into our honeymoon suite and all of the floral arrangements were displayed throughout the room! It was like we walked into a floral wonderland!
If it weren’t for Morgan, I would have been hairless and stressed beyond belief organizing and finalizing all the plans before the wedding and we certainly would not have had a magical wedding day without her and the SGE team.
