SUMMARY: Sarah’s Florist recently did the flowers for my wedding ceremony. Overall, everything was stunning, and almost everything was exactly what I had asked for and/or pictured. However, I gave four instead of five stars because the most expensive arrangements, the altar arrangements, while beautiful, did not match what Sarah and I had discussed when planning the floral arrangements.
THE AMAZING: I went with Sarah’s Florist for two main reasons: (1) When I met with Sarah to get a quote, she really “got” my vision and was extremely affirming and professional. She asked for lots of details, like information for the venue space and pictures of my dress and bridesmaid dresses (each of the four bridesmaids had a different color of dress) so that she could match the style of the wedding. (2) I also got a quote from a second florist, and Sarah’s Florist matched the going rates.
All the bouquets were lovely – the bridesmaid bouquets were my favorite, and I couldn’t stop commenting how great each of them came out after they arrived. Each of the four was a different type of flower and color to match the different color of each bridesmaid dress. The bouquet meant to match the coral bridesmaid dress was more purple than coral, but all the arrangements looked so fantastic, it didn’t matter. My bouquet (and the complimentary “toss” bouquet) and the pew decorations looked almost exactly like the pictures I had given Sarah and were also beautiful.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD: My only disappointment was the altar arrangements, which were by far the most expensive arrangements. I had asked for them to be white with muted colors to match my bouquet, but the two altar arrangements were brightly colored without any white flowers at all. Had the flowers incorporated all the colors and flowers of the bridesmaids bouquets, it would have tied everything together quite nicely and I wouldn’t have minded.
