This place looked quaint and cute and in my neighborhood and where my wedding was taking place.
I don't even know where to begin.
Let's start with the owner Melanie, she at first was decent. She said she could do a small wedding on a budget and just let her know what I wanted. It started out ok but then I brought in my centerpiece to be measured for the bridesmaids flowers to sit in a small silver bucket. She took the measurements handed me back the tin and said she didn't need it anymore. I said I could leave it but she said no. Long story short after a missed appointment due to a lack of reading her email in a timely fashion. {She is a bit scatter brained and never remembers what was said from the time before. WRITE DOWN AND TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING or she'll try and twist it around.} the flowers never fit in the tin. On my wedding day I was devastated and thought how this could go wrong. I called to talk with her after my wedding and was accused from right of the bat. I mean I was calling because I hired her to do my flowers and something went wrong and so I was calling to see what happened. I was told I should be on a honeymoon and not worrying about this. She over and over said she measured it and I was there I believe her but measuring it the way she did obviously didn't work and I was paying her to make it work. She insulted me and said my wedding was a "pick up" wedding meaning small...I mean are you serious were talking hundreds of my hard earned dollars. She hung up on me more than once and then wouldn't speak to me just handed me over to her assistant to do the dirty work. I mean guys, this lady is so defensive you can't get a word in edgewise and makes all of these EXCUSES when all she needed to do was say , "I can't believe that happened, I made a mistake and should of kept one of the containers, I am so sorry and I will refund you more than 15 pathetic dollars of which she mailed to me as a check.
I went to pick my flower colors out a week or so before my wedding and for my bouquet I wanted white flowers and I found some white hydrangeas there and even held them together with some other flowers to see what it looked like , I should of taken a picture because that is NOT what I got, mine were Yellow when I specifically asked for white and they were dying in my bouquet.
Bottom Line , Don't Go To San Diego Bay Flower CO.
Not professional at all, when they mess up they'll put you down and it's just not a good situation.
They know nothing of customer service.
I did not raise my voice once with them and Melanie would just interrupt me saying my name over and over again not listening to anything I had to say.
My wedding still turned out beautiful.
It was just this horrible experience afterward that left a bitter taste in my mouth.
If you make a mistake own it!!!!
And just so you know for centerpiece buckets you can't just measure the outside of the tin length and circumference for the bouquet to sit in it just right there is a science behind it by cutting the stems a lot shorter so it fits inside the bucket and the ball of the bouquet sits on top.
I thought I was paying for this....
